    Might help a little

It might help a little if when we request an address we have to check a box that says if we are sending letters, sending a box, or if it's just a one time deal. Then we would know before we request if somebody needs more letters of boxes. Just a suggestion...

Brilliant idea. I always wonder when I see X number of times requested if they're getting letters or packages.

I agree that information would help but might be a little hard to compile.  I often wonder about the same questions. Also, would it be possible for an email address for the soldier (when applicable) to be sent along with the address information we receive when we request the address.  That way we could email a soldier about their requests instead of sending a letter and waiting for a reply.  That could save weeks worth of waiting time and the soldiers could receive their requested items in a more timely fashion.

I agree that it would be so helpful to know how the number of requests translates into actual letters or packages or maybe nothing.  I am often surprised to read when someone posts that they have not received much and there have been dozens of requests  - on the other hand there are posts telling about all they are getting, and so few requests.

I kind of like to balance things out so I pay a lot of attention to numbers of requests / numbers represented by the individual.

I realize this would be a very difficult issue to resolve, but one can dream...

    Hi Y'all,

Ironically I have always based my selections, in part, on the number of times an addy has been requested thinking that if the number was low... that contact needed support.  It has often come to light however, that often times someone with a lot of requests might be those who send only one package.

I really like the idea of adding the check box for letters only.  It would certainly let the contact know what to expect, but would also let other supporters know whether or not boxes are in fact being sent.

GREAT IDEA!  Hope it is technically feasible.
