What My Soldier Brother Means To Me
On May 13,1972, A Day well known to my Mother and Father, How would they have known Nick would grow into a man of such Honor.
How do I put into to words of a man like many others, Especially for me because he’s my Baby Brother!!
A cute little boy, always on the go, Even to follow me to school, Naked in the snow.
He’s grown to be a great Soldier at heart, Always willing to do his part.
He does this for his Country, Family and Friends too, And does his job well he knows what to do!!
It hurts so much when he has to go, but he always makes sure to tell me he loves me so.
I wait by the phone for days on end, or go to the mailbox in hopes of a letter he has sent.
What my brother and I do when we can’t be together, We look up at night to find a star like no other, even though we are miles away, we talk to that star as if we were together in the same place, the very same things we would say if we were face to face.
When Nick’s tour in Iraq is again once done, He will be glad to be home and wrap his arms around of his loved ones.
I wanted to say I love you Nick as many of us do, I will look at that star as I know you will too.
You Family and friends will think of you everyday, In hopes of your visit again. Or maybe to stay.
Nick will be missed but has great strength and courage. But I must say It is truly an honor to call him my Brother!!!!
