    Cadbury chocolate candy recall

    http://abclocal.go.com/kfsn/story?section=news/consumer/recalls&id=6414729

This is about a Cadbury chocolate candy recall that mentions Chinese-made chocolates.  It is as clear as mud to me as to what the packages are supposed to say.  I bought some in August and sent a few to A'stan, but I still have two of them and they say that they are Mfd. by The Hershey Company in PA, USA, so I don't know about them.  I know that I ate two bars before they made it to the boxes.

    Re: Cadbury chocolate candy recall

See, I knew there was a link to Hersheys! When that story came out, I was eating a piece of a Hersheys chocolate bar and asked my husband if now we needed to be wary of that too. He didn't think there was a link, but it does say on the Cadbury chocolate that it is manufactured by Hershey. So who knows what that means! They should just spell it out.

    Thanks for the link.

You should be okay.  If you google some of the articles, they have pictures of the bars and all have chinese characters on them.  Here is one of the links I found

It looks like the recalls are not for the US according to the cadbury site.

Mars and Hershey said you have nothing to worry about because they don't get that certain contaminated product from China. I heard only Cadbury was affected.

Hershey says Cadbury chocolates, that were made in the USA, is safe on their website but I will NOT buy it because the news said it was not safe.

    Re: Cadbury chocolate candy recall

I watched a news reel today according to them candy has been found in California and Connecticut (misp). I did not hear what kind of candy. Is that the same thing as the White Rabbit?

No Mimi, Mars and M&Ms are fine. Here's the statement from Hershey:

The Hershey Company, which manufactures and sells Cadbury Chocolates in the United States, said it does not buy powered milk or other milk ingredients from China.

"All Hershey products use the highest-quality ingredients and are completely safe," the candy giant said in a written statement. "This includes CADBURY products manufactured and distributed in the United States by The Hershey Company."

Be nice, LOL, Hershey is a Pennsylvania stronghold.

    Thanks, Mom
