    Forum/Chat Room

Ok.....I see a new heading at the top (under the Anysoldier banner)......and PLEASE forgive  me as I don't understand certain things with forums/chat rooms/ etc.......

So, if I want to participate in the chat room what do I do?   Is it really a LIVE chat and you hear each others voices, etc??   Do I just click on the things Marty posted a few days ago (weeks ago too???)  and then log in and then be there to chat.   What is the proper ettiquette in the chat room as to who goes first, etc.    Pleaase please dont' laugh at this.......I'm serious and I don't know how to do this.......and my daughter will be away the weekend to helpe me LEARN!!!    I'll still try to convince Chris Dunn about this.........

Well........gotta run to the Post Office now.........have a great weekend............

Not hard, Anne Marie.  Just log in and type away to whomever is there.  You'll sort of see how once you're in there and others are "chatting".  I learned quite quickly and enjoyed both chatting with the dignitaries.....Taco and Maj. Pain.......... as well as a test chat several weeks ago.

Wishing you well at the P. O. and learning to chat.......I must warn you........it is very addictive behavior.......

    Yes Anne Marie,

Krewe Captain is so right.  It is very addictive behavior and fun.  Everyone just kind of "hangs out" and chimes in when they want too.  I sent you an e-mail to explain it further.  To test it out, you can register for the chat tomorrow with Mike Rush.  I think it is 10 am ET, and 7 am PT.

Are the chat rooms always "on" or do we need to wait for a scheduled chat?  Can we log in whenever we want and chat about whatever with whoever happens to be on?  I know it takes organization to have a chat with a larger group centered around one person or topic, but are we able to have impromptu chats?

I can get into the marine chat room but not the others.  Is this telling me I have to register to each one?

Everyone is welcome to come join in or just sit back a "listen" to the Live Chat we are having tomorrow morning, Saturday, Oct 4, 7am Pacific Time, with MSG Mike Rush.  I'm sure he will be talking about the Orphanage and a little about life in Afghanistan.  See y'all there?  AnySoldier  & Afghanistan rooms...

How do we know when the chats with soldiers will be going on? I'd like to stop by for one. I'm in Missouri so what time will the one be for me tomorrow? How do soldiers register to have a chat based on them, do they just stick a note in the forums for us all to stop by? Thanks!

    To everyone.......especially MARTY HORN

I have been in a few chat rooms in the last few days and THOROUGHLY enjoyed them.    The best part (and this is what I wanted to share with everyone) is a chat room I was in on Saturday (10/18).   When I joined there was a batch of people.   There was a Marine (Tom) in there too.   Well, we got to talking about pringles and flavors he and his marines would like, other things they might like too.   The chat went on for quite some time.   He said it was worth him staying up so late cause his face hurt from smiling and laughing soooooooo much Big Smile.    AND THAT'S A GOOD THING.    Because of you introducing this chat room idea, the people on it and the silly discussions.........we made one of our "family" smile.....Thanks......just had to share that...................
