    Happy Halloween

Hope everyone in the states are having a good and spooky day :)   Here at Qwest we had a 5K run to start our day off (LT Moran got 2nd Place) and plan on a nite out at the haunted house tonight at the MWR tent.  Tomorrow we will have a company picnic and enjoy some burgers and games.  Everyone be safe back there...check that candy before them kids eat it:)

Welcome aboard, Kenny!!!  Happy Halloween to all of you serving over there from all of us here.  Thanks for posting.  ...And...who says the KIDS are going to get any of the candy??  LOL  The Snickers are already gone...lol.  Now, I've got to go throw a costume together for work...am thinking pirate...  Let's see what I come up with.  Sending over big hugs and thanks to all of you serving.

Also, reminding the Junkies out there to hit the stores early fo 1/2 price Halloween candy to send over to the troops...  I'm sure Kenny would agree that the men and women over there won't mind that you paid 1/2 price..  In fact they'd LOVE it as that would mean they would get twice as much!  LOL

Have a good one, and again, welcome to the Forum, Kenny and make sure you pop in on the chat sometime this weekend.  Everyone would love to hear from you...  BTW, you have posted on the AS "Where To Send" page so that we can fully support you and your unit, no?  If so, tell us your name so we can look for your posts.  Don't forget to upload photos if you can.  We'd love to see what you see and you!

    Happy Halloween!

     BOO!

Happy Halloween to you too....and to all our deployed heroes.....and homefront junkies!!

I just LOVE answering the door when the kids come! I have a game I play with them---I answer the door and yell TRICK OR TREAT with a big smile on my face, and hold out my own bag! I act all confused, aren't they coming to bring ME treats? lol. Most of them giggle, and the little ones start reaching in their bag to get candy for me. (And of COURSE I don't take it, but what fun it is to get them to laugh!)

I'll be spending the evening packing boxes & writing letters in between trick-or-treaters. And yes, tomorrow I'll hit those sales to be able to send candy in the boxes I'm packing, I'm saving a little room on top!!!!

    Re: Happy Halloween

Oh  too funny.  We used to get about a dozen trick or treaters here, but none now. We  live in the "boonies".

One year we ere at a campground for Halloween. we had some candy but didn't realize teh amount of kids that would be trick or treating.  Not wanting to get teh trailer egged or worse, I had to dig into the cabinets for something! When the kids came I quickly stuck the "treat" into their bags and sent them along. One mother asked "What was that?".  I replied, "a package of instant oatmeal".

No, we never went back there again.

Have a Safe and  Not Scary Halloween to all our troops and JUNKIES! WOOHOO Junkies! That will be my costume, think anyone will notice/

    Cheers,

    Amy

     Kenny -

so nice to see you post on the Forum.  Happy Halloween right back at you!    Ours is just beginning, yours is probably near it's end as your night comes on.

It's a rainy day here in California.  Our first one in months.  It's very welcomed, however, I hope it slows down enough to allow the trick or treaters out for their travels around the neighborhoods!

Keep in touch MSG Kenny, and check out the chat rooms!  We'd love to talk with you.   Big Smile
