    heaters

Has anyone shipped or had shipped anything resembling heaters?  I have a contact who has requested them but I am in the dark on this one.  They are w/o electric.  Not even sure of generators.

I have found single burner type gel fuel  ( of the type that is used in warming chafes only a little larger )and propane canisters as well as the Coleman fuel in a 1 gallon metal container.  I am assuming that none of these can be sent in a priority box.  Any ideas or options that I could consider for my guys?  Like I said, I'm in the dark and out cold on this one.

    thx

Yeah---unfortunately none of that flamable stuff can be sent.  Am at a loss as well.  Electric heaters would be easiest, but without electricity that is useless.  At least we can send warm sox and such.  Has the contact stated his needs on his post?

    Re: heaters

My contact requested a heater as well and they have one generator so I purchased an electric one.  I also couldn't find any other type that sounded reasonable and i wasn't sure what their access to oil is like. Not sure what to recommend if you are unsure of their access to oi. I wrote to the Sgt. asking for specifics but even with priority mail, responses are slow from these remote sites that sem to need the most. If you can correspond with email, you might try contacting and asking.

Would appreciate help with my trying to decide how best to mail the electric heater.  You can send in a non PO box Priority.  I am trying to decide if i should send the heater in the box it was sold in packed in another box or just wrap the heater box with kraft paper and mail.  The only box i could find cost me $10 but at the time I felt it was best to send in another box with padding but now I am wondering if that is overkill and i wasted my $10.  Recommendations always say that boxes will be tossed around roughly and to pack well,so i don't want the heater to arrive damaged. All suggestions welcome.
