Re: Card Swap #6 - Valentines Day

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for participating in this swap! NICE NICE NICE

I think some of you may be ready to go professiona l with these wonderful cards.  I certainly know that I will stick to writing poetry... I recognize my limitations in this creative field! LOL.

I have received a pack of cards from a 3rd grade special education class where I substituted right before Christmas! Cute... all ten did a "time for a smile" card where the pasted a watch or clock on the front.  Aw!

Also got 20+ from a 5th grade class.  Same school...  similar idea... pasted picture on the front ... cute.

Still waiting to see what the VFW ladies will bring. LOL.

Ok... I will be sending this same message for both swaps... have NOT opened all the envelopes yet... BUT, know that if you sent 35, 25, or 10... that's what you will receive in return.

    Received:
    Deni Dax
    Cheryl Adrist
    Lynne Ball
    Kathy Allen
    Joyce Barocas
    Heidi Edgar
    Sandy Allnock
    Donna L
    Donna C
    Debbie (NY)
    Cathy Kelliey
    T L Denn
    J Baker
    NOT QUITE HALF Y'ALL!!!

I will get to meet one of our Swappers who will be delivering and picking up her cards next Friday. NEAT!!!

I also have messages from several who are putting their cards in the mail today or Monday really really pushing it!

We are down to the wire here y'all!  Let's get those cards finished this weekend and mailed.

The swap will take place next Friday, Janury 16!   I want to get these back into the mail on Saturday 1/17 before the postage rates increase!

THANKS for all the encouragement and support I've received from so many.

Thanks for all the great comments and questions as we support our HEROES!!!

By the way, sorry to those who will get this message twice... I'm sending the same one to all the Swap #7 too!

    Take care,

    Anna

    Hi Anna,

Just wanted to let you know that I sent my cards to you from Southern Maryland via priority mail on Friday.  They told me you should have them by today (considering they were only traveling a few hours), but I am hoping at the very least you get them by Monday.

Take care, and if you need anything, let me know!!!

    Hugs from the South,

    Dawn

    Four more packages have arrived:

    Barbara B. (FL)

    Kathryn M (CO)

    AnneMarie (SC)

    Dawn S (MD)

Hopefully the rest will arrive on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday... We are down to the wire guys!

I need EVERYONE's Cards... so if you haven't mailed yet... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...

get on the stick and mail them early on Monday.  The posted deadlines for ME TO RECEIVE them was the 12th & 13th...

If the homemade cards aren't done, please consider simply buying some cute kid's cards... it is the thought that counts... the fact that we remember them....  Remember:  NOT getting the cards in hurts all who did such a great job!

I did take some time last night during the RAVENS' nailbiter, to sort through who sent 25 & who sent 10 & who sent both so I have a good working list for Friday's swap meet.  YEAH!  (I didn't bite one nail! THanks!).  GO  RAVENS!!!

    So, TRY TRY TRY!!!

I really need your support and commitment to our troops and the other swappers!

    Take care,

If you promised 25 but can't do the full amount, send what you can!  This will assist me in making up the difference... It will be easier for me to make up 10 or 15 rather than the whole missing 25.

THANKS Ladies,  you are super AS JUNKIES!

    Love y'all!

I will double check my porch and with my neighbors to be sure your package is somewhere nearby! LOL.

I have had "substitute" mail carriers all week so I'm not sure what may have happened...

and then, when the box is fun and the rain is "too hard" some carriers won't get out and put things on the porch! LOL.

    Will update tomorrow!

Yes, please let me know. I sent it express so it would meet the deadline.  There are 10 cards. In homemade envelopes.  You can always say a kid made them if they aren't up to par.

The tracking number  for teh envelope  is EB 351368849 US

     Thanks!

      Sorry for the hassle

     Amy

    Cheers,

Confession is good for the soul...

Well, I made 25 handmade Valentines but...I liked them so much that I left them blank and sent them to my contacts with a note to send them home to the ones they love.

I felt guilty because then I had to buy kid Valentines for the swap. (I am glad that was ok) anyway...I recieved an email and then I KNEW it was OK...

"Thank you for the letters and Valentines-most of us didn't even think of things like that"

I am glad I did it and I guess my contact is glad also.

It's time to show the world that more of us SUPPORT our troops than don't! If you support our troops then stand tall! And if you don't stand behind our troops, then please FEEL FREE TO STAND IN FRONT OF THEM !!!!!!!!!

    Hi everybody :)

If you love a soldier you could give him a love coupon on Valentine's Day. Here is a place to get inspiration and to make them free if you wish

    Love coupons

I find the idea very romantic. What do you think?

    AmyG
    Katrina K
    Deb. W.
    Barbara B
    Kathryn M

Most of these are the 25 swap 6... only threeor four are the swap 7 (10 cards). many of you did both! THANKS

So as you can see, I'm still missing some folks! UGH!

HOWEVER!  All envelopes are stuffed with 25... 10... or the 35 if you did both swaps!  YEAH!

There's some "Ms. Anna's Troops Package Project" cards from some kids who volunteered to do cards, a 3rd Grade Special Education Class who did some cards, and a few from a local Sunday school kindergarten...  even my grandson signed some and did some stickers! LOL.

SO, everyone should get back what they sent in... 10, 25, 35 -- if we counted correctly! LOL.

    THANKS to all who participated.

As with any activity... there are some glitches. UGH!!
Know that there were a few labels missing, so I hope I wrote your address correctly.
There were two or three that forgot to include the postage! OUCH!
And I'm sorry that some of you sent postage for what it cost you to send me your cards... but hey y'all  we all agreed to participate with the stated rules... I would send back in a flat rate envelop...  !!!

Some ladies did a super fantastic job of doing really fancy cards and crafts... returning these in the mail to you cost more than you sending me 10 little cards.  AAAGGGHHH!   PLEASE please please don't do this to any future hostesses!  If you agree to participate, please follow ALL the rules.  THANKS.   This will insure that the hostess doesn't get stuck with unexpected work or expense... and it will prevent others from hesitating to host in the future.

LADIES, the cards were wonderful and hopefully the pictures will all turn out wonderfully and I'l  be able to post them somewhere sometime soon..  Also thanks for all the little goodies and thank yous ... they were so sweet and greatly appreciated.  The key chain will certainly be put to good use and yes the stress ball was needed by the time I was done stuffing envelopes! LOL  You are all super great friends.

I hope the return mail gets to you swiftly so we can get these cards to our heros!

Again, thanks for allowing me to do this.  It was FUNtabulously terrific!  I feel like breaking out into song...

Some great craftsmanship... some cute little efforts... and LOTS of terrific messages.

Again, THANKS one and all for participating!

Take care... and take a moment to pray for a safe receipt of all the envelopes!

From Maryland to California, the cards have arrived in my mailbox!   The envelope was a little tattered and torn, however, the cards inside are fine.  Thank you Anna, and thank you all swappers for wonderful Valentines to send to our heroes.
