    Announcement - I have my very own Marine!

    I am very proud to announce that my son graduated from Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, CA on 21 November 2008.

    He will be going to Military Combat Training at Camp Pendleton and then on to Ft. Benning, Georgia for jump school.  After that - who knows!

    Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers along with all our other special heroes.  He is 19 years old.

    CONGRATULATIONS TO HIM ON BECOMING A US MARINE!!!!!     Oooohhhh Raaaahhhh

    Yes.......congrats to you too......Let me know if he gets stationed at Beaufort SC (USMC base here) and we will certainly make him welcome in town.    Wonderful news all around for you.........and most certainly a PROUD moment!!!!

    Vicki, You must be so proud. Thank you for lending our country your son. I'm sure he will be a credit to the Marines and to our country. I will be sure to mention him in my prayers.

    Thank you everyone.  It is good to have friends in high places.  I know that I will always have your support if and when times get tough.

    It was hard to keep it to myself, but I wanted to make sure that everything went as planned before I let you all know.

    Hey Vicki, I hadn't seen this post before, but had noticed the new signature!   How proud you must be, and rightly so.   You know that they say, the only thing tougher than a Marine is a Marine's Mom!   Give him a big Thanks from my family for serving.   Takes a pretty amazing person to sign up at this time.   You have a head start on knowing just what to pack for him.
