    MySpace

If one were available, I'd love to have a link to insert on my MySpace account to advertise for Anysoldier.com.

    Hi JanaBeez
There is a link from the About Us page:

    http://www.anysoldier.com/About.cfm#logo

It explains how to link to anysoldier.com
Not sure if this is what you are looking for…I've never been to MySpace.

You know what? I actually think AnySoldier should have its OWN MySpace page....sooooo many people look at MySpace and I'd totally add it as a "Top Friend"!

Valeta Hello!  What a good idea. It may get popular and need a dependable volunteer with time to run it. I think you have a good idea. door

    Re: MySpace

I also wish that AnySoldier had a MySpace page!  But I remember Marty posting something a while back that AnySoldier.com did NOT have a MySpace page-  I think someone had made a "fake" AnySoldier.com MySpace page... I don't remember what happened and I'm not sure if they can/will start a MySpace page but that would be cool... AnySoldier would probably get a lot of publicity that way!

    Re: MySpace

    Hi CaliGirl
You remember correctly.  The story is still in Old News & Stuff at the bottom of the News & Stuff page.  --I’m sorry I don’t know how to put the handy linkySad
Fortunately, there are Any Soldier supporters on MySpace who uncloak these hoaxes by verifying them with the Support Team.

I know there are many blogs with an anysoldier link.  It seems there are already other sites linking to the forum section in addition.  A couple of members have mentioned finding their way here from MAJ Pain’s blog.  Perhaps by now there are other blogs doing the same. I don’t mean this is anyway near equivalent to MySpace -- just to say it shouldn’t be longBig Smile

I don't have a blog (or MySpace) but I've added the anysoldier link (not the forum link) to my signature line in email messages with an encouraging note...sort of, like Yahoo ads on the bottom of messages.  Never know how far some messages might get forwarded around! (lucky for me my email browser makes them automatically for any http://text)

    Re: MySpace

I vote for a Myspace page! (however, I realize I'm not the one that would be keeping it up-to-date!)

I work for a non-profit and we have had great success with our Myspace page, which we run in addition to our traditional website.  We had a college intern help us out in keeping it updated and now it's my responsibility, which I really enjoy.

I've promoted anysoldier.com on my personal Myspace page and would quickly add it to my friends list.  It would attract a younger generation of supporters (most of them younger than me! ha ha)  I believe you can make it what you will - either let the negative publicity keep the positive messages out OR fill Myspace with positive messages for the users!!

Any Soldier will NEVER have a MySpace page.  Period.

We have taken legal action against one nutcase who presented himself as me, used our registered tradename, really fooled people.  Another wasn't so bad, but quickly deserted the AO when we discovered her.

Any Soldier Inc. DOES have a BLOG space and will be offering it here soon.

Anybody who is both a long-standing Support Junkie AND a qualified BLOG expert, AND wants to oversee the BLOG, let me know.

    Hi Beth,

I'm from Hanahan, SC, just north of Charleston. I started a Palmetto State search thread on the Introduction forum and haven't seen any replies yet. Thought I'd let you know you had a fellow SCer on board, even though we're pretty far apart.

Did you see someone suggest a convention of us junkies?  I don't know if we are quite ready for a national event (too many packages to mail), but maybe some weekend us Carolina junkies will be able to get together for a long lunch somewhere in the middle.
