Do you take blank cards to send along or swap?

Re: Card Swap 9, Summertime Fun
not sure exactly what you mean. like blank note cards or greeting cards the contacts can send on to their family? I have seen some folks do that. If you want to do that I think it would be ok. I would suggest slipping a note on some paper into it exp\laining that you wanted them to be able to use the card themselves to send to family or friends so they would know what it was for. I don't have a problem with that.
On the same line, wasn't there discussion of just that subject for one of the upcoming swaps? Deni or somwone might be able to answer it, but I think I remember somone saying that they wanted to do the swap as a collection of blank greeting cards. Anyone else remember that? I am on some heavy meds right now, so maybe I made that up! *G*
Happy summertime dreaming folks! It was in the 70's today, and sunny here. If I could have made it to the ac unit I would have turned it on, but will have to settle for the wee little fan on dresser! No problem with inspiration in those conditions!

Re: Card Swap 9, Summertime Fun -- DUE MAY 1st.
Sandy (Colourful)........that was funny.......(sending them to Deni!!!). The mail must be slow this week.......have not received your cards yet Sandy.......and I'm guessing Amy hasn't received mine either!!!! But it's OK........we have time for the "pony express" to get it in gear .
Welcome to all the newbies to the SWAP........it is alot of fun........esp. seeing what people write and what they create (for those that create). Cabin........I kinda write a bit about us (the family) and maybe send some pics. I always thank them for their service to our country and for being in the military; their sacrifices they make being away from their families; keeping our freedoms secure and helping people in the country they are in (as we know many are doing). And when I get them back (after the swap) I sit and decided which group is getting them. One group that Ihave (a Chaplain) always gets a few. And as Heidi said, I put my name, address and email on the card or note. We had a great response from the Christmas swap (but that was a BIG group of swappers) and usually some of us will hear back from the other swaps. Have fun thinking of your ideas.......and again.......welcome to the newbies!!!1
Love peace and blessings......Anne Marie

Anne Marie I sure hope that pony gets it in gear...lol! At least I goofed early and not just a few days before the due date! Yikes. You'll also see the mess on the envie---I pressed the wrong button at the APC and it spit out the giant label and I had no pen to fix it! lol. You may wanna throw it in a new envie if it's too wacky. I'm getting psyched about the summer swap...I have some fun ideas, let's see if I end up with time to do them! I just packed 3 boxes to the gills with blank cards, and included nice bags full of letters on top...that's my fave part, it's like the frosting on the cake! GO JUNKIES!!!! (No worries, my last swap cards for Vday are long gone---these were others that people send me!)

Heidi, thanks for the response. Glad to know that including name, address, and email has never been a problem. And I wouldn't have thought about keeping the salutation generic not knowing if it's for a soldier or sailor, man or woman. This sounds like a lot of fun! Cabinlady

Re: Card Swap 9, Summertime Fun -- DUE MAY 1st.
The fall swap (formerly known as the Labor Day Cards) will be for blank cards and generic cards. These will be cards that we can send to our contacts that can be used for birthdays, miss you, thinking of you, thank you-whatever
I will be hosting it and cards will be due the first week of Aug.

I got it! and am updating the list now. Is there a way to move that post with the names so it is not buried? or should i leave it where it is?

Re: Card Swap 9, Summertime Fun -- DUE MAY 1st.
Hi all
Ok, just wanted to move the list up so it is easier to find. We have 4 slots left for 20 cards for Summertime Fun! Thanks Deni!!
Due Date that they have to be to me by is Friday May 1.
So, what we do is 20 cards or post cards-you can buy them or make them. If you have envelopes, you can decorate them, but be careful because we all have different service members they get sent to. If you want to address the outside of the envelope we have used "Hero" "Friend", things like that , and it seemed ok. SO, you do up 20 cards, send them to me at my snail mail addresss either in a flat rate envelope or one of the small flat rate boxes, and postage for me to return your new 20 cards that you get back. I sort everyones cards into piles and send you guys a new pile of cards back in the mail. Then you can send them on to your contacts. Also, Leave the cards unsealed if you have envelopes so we can all be nosey and see your creativity!
Please send me an email at bravo29_98@hotmail.com to participate. I am running off a spreadsheet to keep it all clear. I will list everyone that goes into my spreadsheet off the email-by nickname if you give me one.
Here is a list as of 2:30 March 1:
1. Mwishner
2. Amyg
3. Anne Marie D.
4. Deni Dax

Hey AmyG, (whisper, whisper), I think it's May Day! May 1st, you have a wee bit of time to clear your head of spring to work on your summer cards.
