Let's make some grown men cry!!!

David L. Goeltzenleuchter and his group have only received 2 boxes since May 13th.  17/3.  Leaves in October but for the next few months we could surely bring some more tears to their eyes.

I have 2 boxes ready to go out to Goeltzenleuchter tomorrow. One has dried fruit, drink mixes, gum, granola bars. The other has paper, pens, power strips, headlights.

I have been requesting contacts, but mail has been taking over three weeks to arrive.  So I am wondering if things are being sent, but not getting there or are in transit?  I sent a notice to USPS and they are looking into 4 of my packages now.  Just a thought to consider.

It could be that the package that Sgt. Long received has been the only package that was mailed to him even though he has been signed up since May.

Fireftnchick- If you are sending to Afghanistan, it is not unusual for it to take three weeks to get there and especially if it is in a hot zone or a hard to reach area.  There was a post by Bettis, that says food, water and ammo take precedence over all other packages (which is totally understandable) and if you are sending to the guys who are in the middle of it, then that would explain part of the delay.  Sometimes it took months to get to our guys because of the situation where they were.

I just sent a package to Meagan Young.  So one of those 6 requests for her address is mine.

I sent one large flat rate box to Meagan Young / Attn Any Female Soldier packed tight w/hygiene and sanitary products.  Mostly female but some unisex. Also 6 sport bras, inspect repellent, sunscreen, shampoo, bodywash, etc.   Bagged in name brand ziplock bags.

The box is well reinforced with packing tape.  I think I'm getting the hang of this stuff, using every teeny tiny nook and cranny in the box.

Went into the mail late afternoon today.  I live on East Coast so maybe it won't take too long to get to her.

I just read an update from Tom Tolman who has had 6 requests and not received a box or letter yet.  He has a friend who got a bunch, though.  That must be frustrating!

I sent t-shirts, boxer briefs, socks and the size 8 pair of running shoes from Kohls. I will have to go the a shoe store to find the 71/2 and will try to send them out early next week. This is to Tolman for the guys whose bags were lost.
