I am new to AS and need advise on sending packages.  I have some  to send to my contacts for Easter.  When would you suggest that I mail them?  I want them to get there by Easter  because, of course, it's all Easter stuff.   I sent a package before and I think they got it in 4 days?  Is that possible?  My contact sent an email to thank me for the "stuff" I sent.  I live in CO and it takes 2 days for a priority package to get to my daughter in Baltimore from here. I read here somewhere that it could take 21 days.  Do I use that as a time frame and just mark the boxes not to open till Easter?  Help!!!!  Thank you

As we all know, both the US Postal Service and the Army Postal Service (APO) are unpredictable.  I live in the Dallas Metro area and I have had boxes mailed to Iraq on Thursday reach them on the following Tuesday.  BUT I have also had boxes take up to 2 weeks to reach Iraq and a little over 3 weeks to reach Afghanistan, although average for A-stan is about 10-12 days.  Soooo.... having said that, I would suggest write 'Do not open til Easter' on the box and then mail 2 weeks ahead if going to Iraq or 3 weeks ahead if going to A-stan.  And I don't suggest mailing chocolate bunnies or anything chocolate except M&Ms in your Easter boxes!
