Today I requested SSG Hinkkanen's address.

I looked like this:

SSG Jacob Hinkkanen

Attn: Any soldier

A C. 1-234th IN (ABN) FOB Smith

Fob Jones

APO AE 56789

(of course-this isn't the real one)

Why would two FOB's be listed? Is this a mistake? Will he still get it?

One thing that may be happening could be due to the building of new bases to accomodate the new influx of troops into A'stan if that is where the address is.  I can see that until they get post offices in some of the newer bases, they might use an established post office at an existing base but also put the newer base on the address to make mail handling easier.  That is just a shot in the dark, of course.

 Ah, that makes sense.....I got one like that 2 and it was an address update for one of my other contacts.

I believe all the mail for one of the bases (listed on his address) goes through the other. They are both really small outposts according to what past contacts there have told me. I too requested his address and sent him 2 boxes today with food, sheets & socks. I figure if I write the address exactly as AS gives it to me it will get there.
