    Tear Drop Memorial for 9-11

    Hi all

I was told that this might be a good place to put this. I had no idea this existed until a friend sent it to me. This memorial is given to the US from Russia after 9-11, and I never saw a single story about it. How sad a commentary on our "journalists."

Anyway, it is pretty, and very moving.  At least one junkie has seen it in person! Check the General Chitchat thread and see it there too.

    Heidi,

Thanks for this link. I too have never even heard of it. As a medic 9/11 is still very painful for me. A group of us are going in 2011 to New York for the memorial service to honor our fallen Brothers and Sisters in Blue. We will have to make seeing this memorial part of our trip. The pictures of it are beautifal, I can only imagine what it looks like in person.

Tear Drop Memorial. The NY Times has an article about the memorial. It was dedicated on September 11, 2006. Former president Bill Clinton and Michael Chertoff, and family members of of the WTC victims attened the ceremony.
