    Returned Mail

Over the years I have been sending my share of letters of encouragement to the New Contacts.  Now I have been having some "return to sender" letters returned to me with no explaination. I then check back with "Any Soldier" and the addresses are still active with no change and no mistakes made in addressing the envelopes on my part.  I don't know what to think of it.

So far, none of my packages have been returned.  I just hope they are going to any one of our heroes and not falling into the wrong hands.

Is anyone having a similar problem like this?

    Re: Returned Mail

    Graywolf,

Some people have reported having packages returned also.  One explanation that I read, but can't remember the thread this minute, was that the post offices would close when they had severe sand storms, so they showed up as closed, and it sounds like the USPS couldn't hand the mail off to the military PO, and it was returned.

    Re: Returned Mail

    Graywolf,

Every-so-often I was getting a piece of mail returned too and the contact was good (still on AS or I will email them and check).   What I started doing after those few incidents was put the ATTN:  line in parenthesis and add the .com.......so any mailperson will realize (HOPEFULLY) that it is not intended to any soldier........but we have a real name through this website.  (Attn:Anysoldier.com)

This still follows the instructions of the website.......but also puts some info out there for the person handling the mail.    I received a few packages back with the attention line marked through and realized that what they didnt like.   Hope this info helps you and others.......It could be this or what Gran said too.....cause of the sand storms.........Happy writing!!!

    Love peace and blessings......Anne Marie
