Water heaters for cup noodles/mac and cheese

Newbie here and I have a question.  A solider/squad has requested "water heaters for cup noodles/mac and cheese". Are these those electric immersion cup heaters?  Is so, anybody have a recommendation on a particular brand?  If it isn't these, then please help me to understand what they are requesting.  Thanks.

Though I can't say about your particular contact, what is most often asked for and used is sometimes called a "hot pot".  I have seen them made by Rival and I can't remember the other brand this minute (I'm getting old).  If you put hot pot in the search, you may find the thread that had discussions on them a while back.  The ones that I have seen are plastic, about a quart capacity, and have inside them on the bottom a "plate" that looks like the base of a coffee maker.  They do make another type that is a little more expensive that doesn't have the exposed plate in the bottom that can also be used for heating foods other than water like soups.

You might try Googling "hot pot" and see what you find.

Thanks!  I quickly read the review on "Hot Pots" and I believe that is exactly what they are looking for.  Thanks again.

I just checked Amazon.com, and they display a Rival Hot Pot Express for $12.99, a Proctor Silex automatic electric kettle for $15.99, and a Proctor Silex Hot Pot for $19.99.  All are listed as a quart or 32 oz. capacity.  I didn't take the time to check to see which of them are just for heating water and which can heat soups and other foods also.

    Hope the info is helpful.
