    card swap dates

Ok,  I'm bringing this up to the front, have made some changes on it, and don't know if the future card swap hostesses who are signed up below are still committed to their swaps.  Lisa was kind enough to get all these details down for us.  I went back to the thread "2009 card swap dates and hostesses/hosts" to get this information.  Let's see what happens.

    Re: card swap dates

Thanks for copying the information to this thread.   It took me a while to find it when I was looking for it.  I LOVE the card swaps.  I've already gotten some ideas for the 4th of July, swap #10.

Is it to late or to early to sign up for it?  I sent kbaumgartner a message, but haven't receied a reply as of yet.  Does anyone know if she is still planning on hosting?

Maybe I'm getting a little head of myself since Card Swap #9 is still going on.  I just don't want to miss out on any of the ones that I can participate in.

Swap #11 is the one with the blank cards, right? Cards for the Warriors to use?

     Hi Deni,

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the #9 was changed to summertime fun.  In my case it still would be Memorial Day, but I know people were working on beach themes, etc.

I've sent two messages to kbaumgartner and haven't heard anything back.  I have my cards, digitally designed and then printed through VistaPrint, I just have to write a message in each one.  Anyone know if it's still a go?  If there is a problem or no-one hears from her I'd be happy to take her place, I'd just need basic instructions on being the "hostess".

I am still up for #12 Halloween/Fall as a hostess. Details will be posted around end of July/first of August.

    Thanks so much, Kathryn M

    HI Kerri,

I also emailed kbaumgartner (4/23/09) and haven't received a reply.  I have already purchased items to make patriotic cards and would LOVE to participate in a card swap.

Maybe someone with more insight can offer more assistance.  Confused

I don't want to step on anyone's toes, but with May fast approaching, I'm thinking (althought I'm not expert) 4th of July Cards would need to be to the hostess some time the first of June in order to get to our contacts by July 4th.  If no one else wants to participate, I'd be interested in exchanging some cards with you. Idea

    Re: card swap dates

I also sent an email to kbaumgartner in Feb and haven't received a reply.  I've also started making my cards.  I'll keep making my cards and hope to hear something soon!

    Re: card swap dates

Count me in on any alt plan if the hostess doesn't answer soon. I am alllllways desperate for letters for all the boxes I send—I sent a couple out with only a few letters from me, and actually got a comment back saying thanks for the "couple" letters. I usually try to put 20+ in each box. (The 30,000 letters due in during July should help a ton but I need something to keep the summer going!)

FYI those 30K letters are coming from a corporation doing a cardsigning at ALLLLLL their locations across the US. I'll let you know where near  you that you and all your friends/relatives can go to sign cards during their card drive in June/July. Stay tuned when the letters start coming in, I may need some junkie assistance getting them out there where they need to be! *grin* Can you just imagine that many SMILES?

    Re: card swap dates

     Kerri -

I think you should go ahead and become the hostess for the next swap.

As it's recorded on here, a number of us have tried to get in contact with kbaumgartner and haven't heard back from her.  We don't know the reason why she hasn't  and we hope all is well with her.

It is now almost May 1st and this 4th of July card swap needs to begin soon.  Due date should be June 1st at the latest.

Let us know, and there will be folks like me who will help you get started.

    Thanks for alerting us......

    All swappers.......

I agree with Deni.......I believe that kbaumgartner has been contacted a few times and no response (and we do pray all is well with her).   If we want a 4th of July swap, we need to get moving on it.    The 4th of July is our Birthday and a fun time for all........lets get some fun cards out to the troops.

Kerri........if you are taking this on, there are quite a few people already wanting to get into this swap.........including ME!!!! (so sign me up Big Smile

It's a go, I'll be the hostess of the 4th of July card swap.  I'll start another thread for it.  If anyone has done this before and wants to let me know what to do, how to do it, give me pointers, whatever, then I would appreciate it.  I know I'll get the cards sent here, divvy them up and send them out to everyone who sent in but any other info would be helpful.  Thanks.
