"Taking Chance" is out on DVD now; I pre-ordered from Borders.com, and just got an e-mail that it has shipped. I didn't get to see it when it was on HBO, since we don't have HBO...everybody I know who has seen it says it's a definite must see.

Thank you Chance Phelps and all of your fallen commrades.

I ordered HBO when Taking Chance was showing there, and I found it to be an outstanding movie, one that I thought everybody should experience.  I do caution recommending it though because of my experience.

My experience...  My friends husband is a Vietnam vet decorated with a purple heart.  When I told her about the movie, she was a bit taken aback.  She said that you talk about that content with your family.  I think she has seen and felt death from war more than one should.

I am truly proud of our men and women in the armed forces and the movie was the story of a true hero, but discussing it made me an insensitive jerk!  Please use caution.
