I asked one of my new contacts if he or his team needed anything specific.  Does anyone have a running shoe for a male in a size 9 1/2W in their "Soldier stash"?  Seems the sand and rocky terrain is rough on shoes.  If so, please request SSG Juan E. Ybarra.

If not, where is the place to get the best deals on running shoes?  Is it possible to get a good running shoe for under $30?  Thanks!

Surely someone could locate a good bargain on a decent, granted maybe not the best, pair of emergency running shoes that would do at least temporarily.  If someone knows of a good buy, maybe some of us could pitch in some $ to help buy them if nobody is in a position at this time to do the whole deal.  If several of us could add $5 to that $30, that should do it.

If anyone lives near an outet mall with a Nike or Reebok store, they usually have good shoes for good prices.  I've purchased decent cross trainers, which would probably be better for the terrain there than a basic running shoe, for $29.99.  Often they are marked down 50-75% so they are decent shoes. Sometimes Kohl's or Penny's has good sales on them as well. 

Sadly, I have a few pairs of women's shoes in my stash, but no men's. 

If anyone is near a Nordstrom Rack, they had lots of shoes at 65% off last week and I think their prices stay until its sold. 

Thanks for everyone for all the great suggestions.  I was finally able to find a pair online at Kohl's that were onsale.  I used an additional 30% off code, shipped to the Soldier for under $30.00!
