    Diggerdeb,

I copy and pasted your email address in the "TO:" of the message I was composing earlier this week.  I hadn't gotten a reply so I thought you were just busy.  Today the message came back to me as a failure to deliver. Hmm

The reason for my email was to request your Email mailing address so that I can get my cards to you.  They are done Party!!!  Can you please send it to me.  Thanks :)

I'm so excited for this one, even though my cards are boring.  I'm aiming for the Early Bird Special!

Hi.  I guess that I will take the leap and finally join in a card swap, if you still have openings.  Thanks.

If store-bought blank all-occasion cards are ok I picked up a bunch at the dollar store and even one at Wal-Mart for just $1 for a package of 8.  I've made almost all of my 25 cards already but thought I'd throw that out there.  They were pretty cute cards and I sent half of them to one of my contacts because his kids had birthdays coming up.  I wanted him to get some cards before I could make some and get them to him.

Just an idea ~ I started with store bought cards that already had that embellished "handmade" look and then added a few touches of my own.  A few flowers, jiggly eye thingies, some stickers, gem dots, glitter or some stamps...  They turned out pretty nice.  I'm just waiting a little to see how many we will actually be sending in - 20, 25...?

OK Kerri- You are now #19.

I think store bought cards are OK. The dollar store has some nice ones that come in a package of four also. Variety is good.

If you have a Michael's craft store near you-they have some fun blank cards on clearance.

Please remember -when making or buying cards- NO glitter. It can be dangerous to your hero.

Hi ya all.  Just wanted to make a comment in case there's any confusion out there.

Homemade cards are fun to make and fun to get.

The other cards that are bought ready made or the ones like I've made up on VistaPrint.com are just as welcomed in a card swap as the homemade ones.

Remember, it's the message of support that's conveyed in the card.

Because this is a blank all occasion card swap, meaning, the cards are left blank to be sent back home to their loved ones, etc.  I will be including a separate sheet of paper with my note of support on it.  They then have something to keep before sending the card on.

Thanks Diggerdeb for doing this swap and having such a nice incentive in getting them mailed early to you!

Thanks for the reminder on the glitter.  I always remember when I think of my contacts that see combat often or the boxes that go to the CSHs, but it really is a good rule to follow for sending to everyone over there.

Should we send 25 right now, if we want to get them out in the mail next week?

Yes, please send 25. I will be sure everyone gets at least 25 back PLUS the early bird special.

Everyone- please remember to send $4.95 stamp (or cash if you can't get to a PO)  And, if posible, an a pre-address label to yourself  for me to put on your small flat rate box when I send the cards back to you.

Well, my cards are finished!  Went to the beach last Friday and all it did was rain until midnight.  Good thing I took my card making supplies with me :)  As soon as I find envelopes that the cards will fit in - they will be on the way!

Diggerdeb - Thanks so much for handling this card swap!

OK, this is a leap for me, but I want to give it a try.  I can guarantee I won't be an early bird, but I can make 25 cards in 30 days so may I join you?
