    Hungry Soldiers

Saw this post today - soldiers are losing weight and need food.  Request posted by PFC Sean F Phillips.

I requested his address too as it looks like they need bedding and more hat/coat hangers for the walls.  I'll get some sheets, Febreeze and other household items, but will also send a box of food next week.

He'll be quite surprised when he starts receiving all the boxes his "fans in the states" are sending!

    Re: Hungry Soldiers

My office sent 6 boxes last week to Sean and his guys:  one box of tolietries, 4 boxes of microwavable food, coffee, crackers, etc. and the last box contained a coffee pot.  I received an email last week from him and will share it with you:   (the buffalo is our company mascot)

Dear Deb Wooley, Co-Workers, Friends & Family,
We got your packages today it was like christmas for the platoon! It was a real motivator cause we just came off of a 16 hour mission and we were all tired and sore. We love all the food it will be fun to try and make some food from it. And once i am able to get a new camera i'll take pictures of the buffalo around the area and on the base. Now you told us not to be shy on requests so i went around and asked what people wanted.
    List as follows:
Noodles (like ramen perferibly in  the cup)
Microwaveable canned food (we got a microwave now)
A way to make all the coffee                                                                                                                                     Anything else you never know we might want/need something we dont know yet
but thanks again for the packages! Look forward to hearing from you!

Has anyone heard from Sean Phillips or Joshua Clark?  They are both in the same area and have been taken off the list because AS has not heard from them.  Seeing the remote action on the news makes me want to continue to send anyway.  Any thoughts?

    Re: Hungry Soldiers

I last heard fron Sean Phillips July 16th.  I emailed and asked if they could use a hot plate - he said he would help and I shipped it to him along with 3 boxes of food and one box of tolietries.  I wasn't able to send out pots and pans yet.  I will email him this morning and see if I can get a reply back and tell him to update his postings.

    Re: Hungry Soldiers

I received an email from Sean Phillips this morning.  He said he updated the anysoldier posting yesterday but I do not see it listed yet.  He said their coffeepot and refrigerator is now broken and one warrior is requesting licorise cliff bars.  Sean reports that they have been very busy.
