    Re: Post Card Requested

    DonnaC,

We've got Hawaii or atleast it's been puchased.  I'll get it the week of 6/6 and get it in the mail to you.  I just learned my in-laws will be driving from IL to VA the first week in July so I can get them to pick up Ohio (in case you don't get one), Indiana, & West VA.

    Kerri,

I'll be glad to send you cards if you pick up one of the groups.  I can't pick up another group right now, but I can get you the cards.

    Anna,

That great about Hawaii and the others.  I can't be sure about Ohio and won't know until mid July, so any that you can get would be greatly appreciated.

    Kerri,

If you pick up one of the groups, let me know and I will send some postcards to you, too.

    Re: Post Card Requested

    Hi,

I know I'm going to sound like a complete twit, but I just realized I wasn't sure if we were suppose to write a little/note or message on the post card or just send it blank.  Also, if we are writting a note on the card, is it suppose to be written by a person from that state?  Things have been so wild this week, I didn't think about this until I was preparing them to send and my husband asked a simple question.  ;-)  He reall thought I was a twit when I gave him the deer in the headlights look. Confused

I realized I hadn't thought past getting the post card.

     Thanks,

    Anna

Gee, that is a fundamental question. I wrote a message on mine, but I am not sure now, if we were supposed to!

    Re: Post Card Requested

It's actually a really good question and I don't think there is a right and wrong answer.  I got some Baltimore postcards when I was there with friends.  I'm getting them to write on them.  I'll also get my nieces to write on the Indiana (and Ohio?) ones.  I'm not sure if I'll write on any myself since I'm writing letters.  It's probably nice for them to have messages written on the post cards.  I'm thinking as I'm typing here so bear with me.  Maybe a note about how you got the postcard if it's not from your home state.  Again, I don't think there is a wrong way.

    Re: Post Card Requested

whew....I was thinking I'd write a note and even had the same thought about getting people that got the card to write a note, but second guessed myself when my husband started asking question.  I didn't want to do it wrong....wouldn't be allowed to play in anymore AS Junkie activities.  Big Smile

I wrote a note on the DC & VA cards from me since I live in VA and work in DC.

Donna, I like your idea about the note to explain how I got the card if someone doesn't want to write a note. That's where my brain really froze.

Thanks for the feedback.  I feel much better.

Oh, Anna!  You had me laughing!  The whole simple question and deer in the headlights look would be so "me"!!!!  I think a note on the postcards is great because I really don't think they want them to send to anybody, kwim?

I will pick up one of the groups, I think I said Tennant?  PM me and I will give you my mailing address to get the cards to me.  I'm moving this month but have the address I'll be moving to and will be moving in with my mother who is already there so things could start getting mailed before I get there.  Does any of that make sense???  LOL

(Talk about an AS Junkie!  In the middle of a move and coordinating something, jeesh!  I've got it bad... ;))

    Re: Post Card Requested

    Donna,

I sent a bunch of WI postcards directly to the contact. I wrote a letter with them, so didn't write on the postcards. I've done it both ways for others in the past.
