    Sgt. Downs ' Mailtruck

You HAVE to look at the post from Sgt. Downs!  Can you believe that mailtruck?  It made me smile to think of someone's care packages and letters being delivered by such a cute and adorable (are those words permissable on a military site???) truck.  I would say they really do LOVE their mail!!!  What a great picture..it made my day:)

THAT truck is a crack-up! I love our soldiers and their ability to adapt to any situation and make the best of it! Amazing!

I have suggested to Marty to have a topic for names of soldiers that are really outstanding "posters" and should be read by others. This would be helpful to those who can't sit and read through EVERY post every day. I haven't heard back yet..but I may have deleted it by now...

If you have time for a chuckle...read Cpl. Joe Hughes' post about building latrines...Ick!

Oh Sgt Downs looks like he is getting a little "Jingle Truck" spirit from the stan!  That truck rocks!

And I have just the perfect mascot toy who has been waiting for this call to duty- a stuffed octopus!

    Mustang,

I think your post inspired me with my idea!

After looking at the US Postal Delivery Truck Photo by Sgt Downs, it gave me an idea.  What about nominating stories or photos from the stories on Anysoldier.com.  To vote for one, you have to donate a $1 to Anysoldier or whatever the traffic will bear.  The originator will receive something for winning, maybe a certificate from Anysoldier or a gift card.

I want to ask Marty if the pictures become the property of Anysoldier or if we can use them for fundraising.  That truck is a kick in the pants!  I think that would inspire a lot of people.  It would make a great poster.  I am going to email him now and ask.

I had noticed that picture when I was browsing through the posts - what a hoot!  It sure lets you know just how important mail really is over there.  I think I'll go get some letters and packages ready to send!
