Kohl's pillows on sale Sat, July 18

Kohl's will have their Big One pillows on sale tomorrow. Early bird price until 1 PM (but I'm betting 4 pm, EDT) is $3.99. I think the 30% of code is AUGUSTSUN, but maybe someone can confirm that. Free shipping on $75.00 or more  Works out to $2.80 per pillow shipped. Can't beat that.

I got the 30% off code on my flyer this time. It's HOTBUY30 and is good thru 7/22.

Free shipping (thru 7/19) is MVC6385.

Checked both to be working on an order (for me!) about 15 minues ago.  Must use your Kohl's charge card.

Don't forget to shop through your favorite program - mypoints pays 2pts, upromise 3%, and ebates 2%.   INot an ebates member and would like a $5 referral? pm or e-mail me - we both win.  Smile

I'm not seeing the $3.99 pillow on the website. Hmm

Something I'm doing wrong?  Help, please?!  I'm new to buying at Kohls... we don't have any around here.

It's been my experience over the past 5 years or so that I've been ordering from Kohls for the troops that they sometimes pull the Big One pillow when the 30% off promo is going on.   You gotta figure that they're losing money big time when people are sending them with free shipping.   You could always go with the better pillow (sandwashed) two-pack that is about $12 (I've received accolades for those).  The Big One pillow isn't really "all that".   LOL   Or send the Big One towels on sale for $3.60 (before discount).

I can't find them online either. But they are specifically named in the sales pages that came yesterday as early birds, so I think I'll call them. Also they are pictured on the website where you go into pillows. False advertising! I'll let you know what happens. I have only managed to place an online order once and have had to call them anyway.

I am sorry for giving bad info. I just called Kohls and they said the pillows are "out of stock" and they can't place an order for an "out of stock" item. Admittedly, they weren't there yesterday when I looked either. But I think it is very bad business to advertise something and then not have them. And not do rainchecks. It will be interesting to see how soon they become in stock.

I just sent an email to Kohl's customer service expressing my displeasure and asking them to take back orders. Anyone else want to join me?

Not to change the topic, but thought I'd let you know that these pillows aren't bad pillows...especially for pillows that cost < $4.00.  We bought some to use as guest pillows and then I ending up using one and found it more comfortable than the more expensive pillows I had been buying.  Was glad to find out that I was sending pillows to the troops that's were much better than their low price.

Thought I'd pass it along in case others had the same worry.

wish I had read your post earlier!  I had the codes at home, but was ordering while on a 24 hr shift at work.  Sent a microwave, yep they shipped to the APO!

Your codes with the Saturday sale would have come to $58.  Even now it is still only $67.  Considering there is a company sending birthday cakes for $60 to soldiers, this is about that price, but will last for a while longer.  The unit mentioned theirs was not functioning well.  I paid a few dollars more than this last night, but it was the only place I could find to ship to an APO address.

The contact has a birthday coming up and well Christmas is around the corner.  With the way the mail has been recently, I combined the birthday and Christmas in July for this unit.

Both codes worked when I applied them to the cart using a Kohls charge and an APO address.

Pillows are back today.  $9.99 Buy one get one free.  Add the Codes HOTBUY30 (30% off) and MVC6833 (free shipping).  Makes it about $3.50 a pillow.  The sale may only be today?!

Can you send multiple pillows to one unit at one time?  or would that overwhelm their supply system?  Better to send to myself and vacuum in space bags and send??  It is just free shipping to send this way and faster because it is direct shipped.  I am rather new and don't want to overwhelm the supply system for a unit just sending a bunch of pillows.  I am thinking of 10 pillows.  The group of guys is 30, but I can only afford 10 at this point, but just 1 or 2 didn't seem to be enough...

I would appreciate any input since this item has been requested at Korengal.  I also make pillow cases and in the process of about 30 pillow cases for the August box to send too with different themed, nice bright colors.

This is just my opinion and others can feel free to correct me, but I would say take advantage of the free shipping and ship them direct.  It will save you $ on space bags and postage, and will get to them quicker if it is mailed direct.  I'm not sure if you can put in 2 separate orders so they mail in 2 boxes rather than one large one?  But sometimes they use a large box anyway and your merchandise floats around in it!

Kohls doesn't try to put them all in one box. They might put as few as 3 in a box. I just got shipping notice on the ones (sandwashed tw0-packs) that I purchased on Sat. They claim that they are sending 6 two-packs (12 pillows in one box), Then 3 two-packs in each of two smaller boxes. Who knows? Does it depend on what size box is handy?

Anyway, Chaplain Jacobs says the guys are on the lookout for boxes coming in. I don't think they've had a problem. One of his pictures shows many boxes of what I think are Kohls pillows stacked up. More than I sent that time for sure.  I think they cope pretty well. It would be hard to begin to send enough if we only send a couple at a time. I love free shipping. Kohls customer service on Sat suggested I go to the store--like they were going to have enough and have free shipping.
