Some of you probably already knew this, but I recently discovered that Target will accept the Target store coupon for an item AND a manufacturer coupon. They will also price match competitors ads. Some coupons DO NOT specify that you cannot use for trial sizes. (Degree and Suave mostly) If not, you can get those sizes for free or maybe 10 cents or so sometimes. I prefer these sizes as I can fit more in a box when sending to an entire unit.
i.e. yesterday I used the Target $4 off gilette titanium razor + manufacturer $4 off a $7.97 razor= free!! I bought non aerosol shave gel at the dollar store for $1. One soldier will be shaving in style for very little $. (they only take up to the item price off, but still free!
I also had a $1 Target/Manufacturer $3 combo for Quattro disposable and ended up getting them for $2. I had Fusion razor coupons for $2 off. If you buy 2 right now you get a $5 gift card...so $16-$4 coupons-$5 gift card makes the Fusion razors half price. So remember to clip those coupons everyone and watch the Target ads!
This $5 gift card deal also works for Venus Embrace. I had $2 off those as well. I now have quite an assortment of very nice soldier razors for the same price (or less) as the junky ones that work maybe one time and not very well at that. Also, I can just send the refill cartridges now when I can catch them on sale with a coupon. Much cheaper an more appreciated in the long run.
Also, Ziploc bags are currenly on sale and there is a Target coupon for (I think ) $0.55. I had a manufacturer buy one get one free and a $1 off 2. I go through these bags like crazy packing boxes. Comes out cheaper than the dollar store ones since there are more in the box. I prefer the zipper type ones too, they are much more user friendly and can be reused by the soldiers for storage on the other end.
Also currently a Target coupon for $2 off mouthwash if you buy Crest toothpaste. The Proctor and Gamble ad this week had a manufacturer coupon for that same mouthwash AND the Crest toothpaste. The mouthwash is only $2.99 to begin with. If you use all the coupons, you can get good deals and send the toothpaste to soldiers and keep the mouthwash at home!
Sorry for going on so, but I was raised by a coupon junkie (frugal Mom), have become one myself and love these deals when they come up.
