Hi Tracy:
I've sent both liquid and powder form in the past. I know some of contacts will specifically request powder form. If you buy the small boxes of powder, it's usually more expensive than buying a big box of powder so I'll toss in a box of small zip lock bags so they can scoop out a load's worth of powder.
Also, some ask for stain removers like Tide pens and Shout. I've sent bottles of Dawn dishwashing detergent as a stain removal agent. My husband gets very dirty and greasy at times and I pre-treat the grease and oil stains with Dawn and it works well. It also removes blood and food stains.
Lynn....I've never used the 3 in 1 sheets before but I think they would be fine to send. Some contacts complain that the locals who do the laundry don't use soap and they fill the pockets of their dirty clothes with soap before they send them to the laundry. If they could just tuck a sheet in the pocket, it seems it would much easier. And a box of 3 in 1 takes up less room in the box than a box of powdered detergent. :)
If I remember, I try to toss in a few packs of clothespins and laundry line rope...although laundry line rope isn't the easiest thing to find these days!
Hope this helps.
