Randall Taylor is asking for tools for a construction/building trade school he's running. If anyone has any they could spare, or knows someone with any, he'd appreciate them. I imagine he needs hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, levels, squares, etc. as well as the measuring tapes in metric - many tapes have both inches and metric - that he's asking for.
"Myself and the two other soldiers make up the Civil Military Operations(CMO) office for our unit. We have two Afghan interpreters and one Afghan engineer who work with us. Our job is to help the Afghan people in our local area. We are also overseeing two schools, a vertical and a horizontal skills workshop, designed to teach Afghans how to do construction according to international building code standards. Its a trade school were students are taught how to construct buildings and roads. This country is so far behind in building experience from the past 20 years of Russian and Taliban interferance. I know this is for the troops, but being that there are no hardware stores here, I am asking for my students under my supervision any items in the area of constrution will be greatly apprecitated. My family has sent me some carpenter pencils and they were greatly recieved. From pens/ pencils, metric tape measures, hand tools, and even power tools will be an investment in this country. If anything of this kind comes, it will be given to these two schools and students."
