Hi All

 I just  received an email that I opened...UGH. It  read "Check it Out" in the title.......and the Forum Thread was Who Are our Contacts.....

 The  message body contained something about meeting Jenny ___ and how she was a snob and just looking for a date.   The spelling was horrible..it was signed RicksDad.....

 I am thinking this is a spam email........did anyone else receive this?

 Bob wrote a post on that thread. Looked like his writing style to me. I didn't get an e-mail, but I'm not signed up for e-mail updates on threads. I don't believe it's a spam; I believe Bob (RicksDad) wrote it.

I got it, also. Typically, when I get e-mails, I come into the forum through them. This time, though, I was brought in, but not logged in. Hmmmm. I do agree, it sounded somewhat like Bob's style, but that would be easy to immitate. I hadn't really thought about it being some kind of spam/virus. (Glad I didn't do the log in...)

PLEASE forward me a copy of that email.  Send to Marty@AnySoldier.com and let me know any info you might have about it.

 Thanks for  forwarding the email Carol.  I had already deleted it from the spam  file.

 Funny thing about it was I do not have email subscription enabled for 

"Who are our Contacts"  so was surprised to receive that.    And I did the same thing, I clicked on the link and it brought me to a  different part of AnySoldier.

Thanks Marty for checking this out. Sorry to stir up a ruckus, but it just seemed fishy.  

I had received it, too and it just seemed 'off".  please let us know what you find out!

 As  you all know, the rumor of a spam has been put out.

Just to let you all know, it was NOT a spam, it was in fact me.

I overreacted to a particular issue, and sent a post, which was quite out of line AND out of character for me.

I have talked to marty of this,  It will never happen again.

I am truly sorry for my actions, and hope i will be forgiven and not judged by my child like outburst.

 My apologies to you, Bob, for any hardship  the reaction may have caused.   we all get so many "off" emails , and the link reaction  caused some questions.   My post was  only to ascertain or  rebuke (correct wording?) the validity of the post.      Trust me, I totally understand "those" moments when you hit the send button and go OOPS.
