It has been suggested that a thread be started specifically for the 6-4 Cavalry Soldiers (B Troop). They are in remote combat outposts in the Afghanistan mountains that border Pakistan.

It will take a little while to coordinate this thread. We do need to make sure that names of remote outposts are OK to be disclosed, along with the AS Contacts that are there...

Gibson was just added (27 Jan 08) but I thought he deserved special mention. From his post:

I am the first above-the-knee amputee to serve in a combat enviroment.

SFC Jeffrey J. They have been costing $1.68 to $3.21 to mail first class. (If you are on a low budget then that is a great strategy to go with for any soldier. Just keep it under 13 once for the first class parcel rate to apply.) Today I sent 2 to him (+ 1 to a personal friend) and got out of the post office for around $6.50 - what a deal!!

1LT Roy Emerson

Junkies -- 1LT Roy Emerson posted today (6/6/08) -- To those of us who have been enthralled by his posts, please don't miss this one -- it's his farewell post -- they're packing up and GOING HOME!!!
