Place some Saran wrap over the top of the container before placing on the lid and you now have an almost indestructible container that won't leak. In addition, the soldiers now have a handy container for the creamers, sugar, etc....

Re: Leaking packages...

reminds me of one of the first care boxes i sent to my son...i sent him his favorite candy Jr. Mints....it was summer.....it was a mess...

Re: Leaking packages...

oo! good idea, thanks!!

Re: Leaking packages...

Another safe measure is putting a new kitchen garbage bag in box first then put in all my stuff. Seal the bag and then seal the box.

This sure has saved me a lot of worry.

She skimmed over the label which had ATTN: ANYSOLDIER(TM) in the attention line and said nothing. So woohoo! Small victory. I was worried about that.

The problem I ran into was completely MY FAULT! After reading so many of the lists, I decided to send my gals and guys some little CoffeeMate creamers (liquid) and I put them in a ziploc bag in case they leaked. Well... I, the genius, also put plastic forks, knives and spoons in the ziploc too. Imagine my surprise when the postal employee shows me her wet, sticky hands and says, "What do you have in here?" After turning 10 shades of red in front of a full post office at lunchtime, I cut the box open and found that the forks had punctured the ziploc, which was holding at least one crushed, leaking creamer cup. *embarrassed!!* I took the whole bag of leaky stuff out and resealed the box. The boxes are now on their way!

*Lesson Learned = no sharp things with potentially leaky things!*

Good luck and have fun everyone! Keep up the good work :)

Jenny/IamKeiserSoze
