Mr. Bourland,

What is your opinion of the Capone mini-cigars? They are usually rum or cognac dipped, and they come in filtered and non and are roughly the size of a standard cigarette. In my opinion, they smoke pretty cool(not harsh) and keep a good flavor throughout, not to mention, they come 10 to a pack, and the package itself is made of hard plastic, so it will stand up to more abuse. My local store is usually running sales on them, so I thought they might go over well.

Those are good to go cigars IF you can find them. For the same money I would watch www.cigarinternational or www.ThompsonCigars.com for some deals.

Matches, well I would through in a couple of lighters. The military usuall gets a bunch of matches if needed especially in MRE packs.

Im back in the states now but send a bunch of stuff to my budies deployed.

What is the best way to pack the matches? How many are legal to send at one time? Have you ever had Garcia Vega Crystal? My brother in law smokes them and they smell really good. He said they are only $5-$6 for a box of three, but they are hard to find.

Great job. Thats a good way to send cigars then all can enjoy the many flavors of cigars out there. Variety packs are a good deal. Remember some matches and a cutter!!

Just heard back from "my guys" I sent c-gars to from CC and they loved them. I will usually send a variety pack and the guys let me know which kind they like best. I've learned a lot about c-gars over the last couple of years!..

Talk about a fountain of knowledge!!! I was opposed to this whole idea at first because I'm "one of those" non-smokers. But, honestly, I like the smell of a good cigar...but, back on task here, I decided "What the heck!!??!!!" These warriors need nothing more than somthing that will provide them a few minutes of relaxation and if a cigar provides that for them then I'm all for it.

And now I know better how and where to shop!!!

Cuban Crafters is one of my favorite places to get stoags from and sending a humidor already full of cigars is a great way to send cigars to warriors. Great job.

For those warriors in theater who are reading this and don’t have a humidor, try using a ammo can. Wash it out so the resign doesn’t ruin your cigars and most importantly poison YOU! The trick will be to leave a damp piece of cloth in there with your stoags and make sure you crack the seal every couple of days because the seal is so tight Ive had cigars actually mold (in the bad way) because the seal wasn’t broken for a week or so.

Great Job! Im no expert but I did stay in a Holiday Inn last night (HA!) I know the warriors will be happy to see them arrive. ANY of Rocky Patel or any from the CAO line are great esp the CAO CX2!! I had several supporters send via CI and they always arrived safe and in great condition!

Honestly, if they get a cheap ciagr they may or may not enjoy it. I would hold off, go to Cigarinternational.com and watch when they have specials(always) and get a bundle for $20-$30. The you will be a HIT! Usually with cigars, you get what you pay for.

Gary...I found a site that sends direct and also has humi's. They have some good quality "ce-gars" that came with a humidore and a "cutter thingy". Being it is so dry over there,thought the humi was a good idea...Cuban Crafters is the site I used.

Also, the Rocky Patel sampler bundles are back in stock. I'll send along one of those and then purchase a box per your suggestion. We're supporting 70 Marines so a box is a MUST. Will check into the CAO Amazons.
