Popcorn, anyone?

I think the Made in the U.S.A category needs a new post so I decided I would share a nice local company with you all. It's a gourmet popcorn company called Rocky Mountain Popcorn Company. You can visit their website at http://www.rockymountainpopcorn.com/. I believe on the website you can only order a case (which, at the most expensive, is something like $25). If you live in the Rocky Mountain region, I know these products are available at King Soopers stores by the bag. I have sent bags of this to contacts before, and it seems to go over well, especially with those without a microwave to make their own. The flavors available are: naked, butter, red chili, jalapeno, kettle corn, caramel corn and white cheddar.

This company is located in Centennial, Colorado.

Just "surfing the net" and came across madeinusaforever.com Some things are a bit too expensive....some things within my price range....but all made in the USA!!!!! I like to send our troops items made in their home country and support our economy at the same time.

Please look at the labels when buying items for our troops...buy American when possible!!!....of course, I am preaching to the choir.

I posted on this subject in the forum's "Chit Chat" (Please buy things made in the U.S.A.) because I am concerned about the current violence in Afghanistan. I am concerned about how it must be for our soldiers to receive items made in certain countries that are geographically close to them and of a questionable "friend" status. Support the economy of the U.S.A. while we support our troops. I would guess that a "made in the U.S.A." label means a lot to the soldiers.

I am on a budget, as most people are. I will start making a list of basic things that I send that are made in America.

~Body wash, regular size, White Rain brand (varied scents), $1.00 each at Walgreen's ,Dollar Tree,most stores

~blankets- acrylic, $6 each, Owen brand....bought at Rose's dept. store

~Dryer sheets, $1.00 at Dollar Tree (Cuddle Soft-55 sheets)

~Deodorant, (Speed Stick, Power Stick, Lady Speed Stick-$1.00 at Dollar Tree)

~Chapstick (Blistex, Chap-Ex brand-two for $1.00 at Dollar Tree, Rose's Dept. Store,)

~Pens (Any Soldier-See "Sales and Donations", Pilot EasyTouch pens-most stores-$1.50-$2.00 for two)

~Q-tips (Q-tips brand, Walgreen's brand travel size(30 ct.)

~Bar soap, many made in the U.S.A.(Irish Spring, Dove, Dial, Palmolive, Tone, to name a few.)

~Disposable Razors (Personna ten pack at Dollar Tree stores-pkg says "Blades made in the USA, Craftsmen since 1875)

Where can I buy sheets or bath towels made in the U.S.A.?

I have had difficulty finding sheets and bath towels at an inexpensive price that are made in the U.S.A.

-1888 Mills brand(made in the U.S.A. and I just found out...made elsewhere also...so check the label!), sold in Walmart, goes for about 16-18 dollars for a bath towel, hand towel, and wash cloth set.

- L.L. Bean has just a bath towel (made in the U.S.A.) for about $19.50

- a local store, Rose's, has washcloths and hand towels for .50 cents and $1.00, made in the U.S.A. They are all mixed up in a bin with those made in Pakistan and India. I refuse to send anything to our soldiers made in a country which harbors the Taliban.
