Re: Overlooked contacts - 2008 edition
Good Morning to All and Happy New Year -
To each his own…
Just my opinion but...
A low number of personnel listed should not stop folks from requesting a Soldier’s address and writing to them or sending packages - MAIL is important to ALL - regardless…
A few months is a long time between contact with the outside worldJ

Re: Overlooked contacts - 2008 edition
In general, I do think more troops need more contacts. However, I have seen contacts with around ten requests and less never receive little if anything. There is no accurate way to know other than their update posts, or contact with supporters. They could have one church sending tons of boxes, or many requests just to send out postcards and letters one time. One thing that we know for sure, that they all want mail and snacks. We need to use our best judgment and go with our hearts.

Re: Overlooked contacts - 2008 edition
One reason that we don't usually pick up contacts with less than 4 people is the ratio of the cost of per person to fill and mail a package. We can fill a military FRB and mail it and be able to include something for many people for that cost.

Re: Overlooked contacts - 2008 edition
Here is another example of this site working well with everyone doing what-ever they can do. I pick groups WITH a few people and don't pick the larger ones because I don't feel I can do the larger ones justice, but I can send more often to the smaller ones. Put folks like me with folks like you and we should cover just about all, right? That is my sincere hope. Take care, Donna

Re: Overlooked contacts - 2008 edition
SGT. Nicholas T. Miller posted today that he has not received anything (packages or letters) since he last updated on Dec. 3. I find this unfortunate since he has 38 address requests.

Re: Overlooked contacts - 2008 edition
I see Miller did get some more requests thanks to Andrea's posting. Hopefully he RECEIVES something.
Wanted to bring attention to Martin Motes posted 1/20, and has had 3 requests. He is supporting 80 males. His post wasnt the most descriptive, and that is probably why not so many requests but still I am sure they would love support.

Re: Overlooked contacts - 2008 edition
I'm one of the 13 for WO1 Kevin Pfanstiel. I sent him another package yesterday, after being sidelined for six weeks late last year for surgery.
