    Free Money !

Walgreens and CVS pharmacies both have programs that will return most or all of your purchase price on certain items.  Walgreens has a monthly booklet which allows you to send in your register receipts and get rebates if you buy items from the booklet. They pay promptly and if you put your rebates on a Walgreens gift card (which is reloadable) they will give you 10% more rebate!!  I let my gift card build up over several months and use the card to buy things for the troops.

CVS will print out Extra Bucks on your register receipt when you buy certain advertised items. Sometimes it's the entire price of the item.  I use the Extra Bucks to buy items for the troops.  Since postage is never free, I use this "free money" to buy the stuff in the box and only have to pay postage.  What a help!

Yessirree,  CVS has provided me with a lot of goodies by using ECBs in a continuous fashion.  Love the limit 5 toothpaste offers....and the vitamin C....etc.

I don't shop Walgreens much...and haven't since they introduced their program.  Is it as good as CVS?

I think Walgreens prices are better than CVS, and they now have two "free money" promotions. One is the little booklet that lists each month's promotions, and you can have your "rewards" for your purchases posted to a rebate card (choose the card ioption nstead of getting a check in the mail and you get an extra 10% posted to your card.) In a few states (Arizona is one of them) you don't even have to mail in your receipt because it can be done online. You just type in the number of your register receipt, saving a stamp! The second promotion comes as a register receipt for "free money" when you buy certain projects. The register receipt can then be used on your next purchase at Walgreens. The receipt is good for about three weeks, just like cash.

The other big "money maker" you can take advantage of if you have a CVS and a Walgreens close together involves medications.  If you take maintenance medications that you have to have re-prescribed once a year, I take the newly written prescriptions to Walgreens and get them filled there until CVS runs a special that pays you $30 to transfer your prescription from another pharmacy.  Then I transfer the prescription (the two pharmacies are across the street from each other in my neighborhood) and get a $30 CVS gift card to fill a box or two for the troops.

If anyone isn't taking advantage of CVS's program, you really need to look into it.

This month, you could get 3 free deoderants, 3 free toothbrushes, 3 tubes of toothpaste, 3 boxes of allergy pills and 2 packs of disolvable Tums.

And if you use coupons, you can actually make money to get more soldier stuff.

Example, Toothbrushes are $2.99 each. I had 3 $1 coupons. So I paid $5.97. The CVS deal gives you the full price back in store money, so I got $8.97 back at the register. I had coupons for the toothpaste too, so I added $6 to my soldier fund.

One other thing you might be interested in, is CVS has had 2 pack granola bars (4 bars) for $1. There are coupons for them - $.80 off 2 boxes. I like them for the boxes.

oh, and you can do Rite-Aide rebates on line now too.  They've been doing 3 for a $1 candy deals. You can pick up 3 rolls of sweettarts or laffy taffys etc.
