    Randy Welcome to our forum.

I had a friend in the Navy on Adak in the 1970's and he drove his van around in circles on his time off. He about went stir crazy and tried fishing in a boat and got lost at sea. They found him okay. He was glad to get out of there. I saw some pictures of part of the base a few years back and it was almost abandoned.

Welcome and here is a link to NMCB 40 for others who want to visit:

I am sure there are some contacts that would love to get a letter from you.

Using the search engine ( click on the small magnifying glass ) on the "Where to send" page. I entered NMCB and got four contacts .

Enjoy and Thank you for your service to our country! Blessings, door

thanks for your service randy! Branson is a great place and the 31st NCB ( WWII) had 2 great reunions there a few years back, Your town is a great place and we all were very welcomed! Love the 5 and 10 cent shop dowtown. There are a bunch of seabees signed up thru any sailor.com, I find them based on their rank/rate. I could not last a day in AK- need the sun.
