Well, guys, talking about the "specialness" of our military heroes........ I have spoken before about our very first contact over two years ago and how he has become a part of our family. Hardly a month goes by that I don't get a call....."Hey, Mel.....how's it goin'?" We have visited on several occasions face to face as well. He has a lovely wife and a son on the way.
Here is just the most awesome news! I have a daughter that is graduating from high school on the 17th. It seems our captain is going to be within 3 hours of us on Thursday and since he can't be with her on the day of her graduation, he is coming to spend the day with us! I haven't told her so that is a my little graduation surprise! What makes this even more special is that he will be deploying again in a few months. He is taking this time away from his own immediate family to visit with us.........isn't that grand?
He already has plans for us to support he and his team as he deploys again. So we are gearing up for that.
