    Disguising Items from Nosy Handlers

I was hoping to start this thread in order to give people ideas on what to name something of value or "popularity" (dvds, cds, etc) so that it doesn't seem as appealing on the customs form. I hope I make sense. Thanks everyone for contributing! Big Smile

I only buy insurance on stuff like DVD players so I was hoping I could disguise my $10 DVD, CD, etc as something else.

I might call it "media" or something equally boring-sounding--could be news clippings from home. If you make it too vague it might be checked out, but it might be worth a shot.

there was a thread on this topic a while back, so you might could do a search and find it.  There were some pretty clever things-the main one I remember is someone (maybe Gran?) sending Skoal or other chewing tobacco with snacks and labeling it "chip and dip".  Classic!!! Cool

One said "used digital media".  Or "toys" as they are adult type toys (but not of that type Big Smile)

I use disk for movies.  I also recently sent a bottle of margarita mix (the non-alcoholic kind, unfortunately for them Wink ) and I called it "juice."  I don't want them ripping it open to make sure it doesn't have alcohol.
