    Nicolette Pringle

Nicolette Pringle has a squad of lonely soldiers with low morale.  They could use a boost!

Rosemary, I have a lot of stuff on hand that she is asking for.  I got her address and will send out one or two care packages on Tuesday.

I am writing a letter today. Next week (on Tuesday) I will mail a box to her with some nice things for females (hygeine, body wash, and miscellaneous stuff). I blew my postage budget this week so I gotta wait till I get paid again, but I will get it all packed up and ready to go to the PO since I have enough stuff in my stash to fill a box.

Edit: box is packed  with 2  boxes tampons & miscellaneous hygiene stuff (toothpaste/toothbrush, lotions, shower gel, disposable razors and shave gel, flavored lip balms, hand sanitizer). I also put in a womans magazine, a couple of packs of notecards,  and the ever present anysoldier ink pens. There is also one of those little portable first aid kits and some kleenex pocket packs to fill up the holes.

Hello everyone, I actually got to the PO early on Saturday and got that small FR box for a female mailed out. It had those items listed above in it! Before I go on vacation in Oct I will try to get out snack boxes/ halloween treats to all my contacts including her group.

Hey guys - got a really sweet snail mail letter from her today! Just wanted to bump her up a bit so more folks would see her. (She posted an updated needs list on 9/15 on the where to send page - by the way.)

Yeah, we got a note from her a few days ago and she indicated that her boss gave her the stationery to write on.  She put stationery in her requests, so we got some note paper, stickers, and envelopes at Dollar Tree Sunday to send with our next shipment of Chef Boyardee canned pasta and plastic cutlery.  They seemed to be so thrilled to be getting mail and things.  We had sent them socks and underwear with the canned pasta in the first box.

They must be thinking Christmas has come early by now.  We got the boxful of canned pasta/sauce with stationery and plastic cutlery (mostly spoons) in the mail Wed., so will wait a few weeks to send another one.  It looks like their dry spell has ended for now unless they are passing out some things to others around them that aren't shown on their page.

I got the Halloween treats packed up today and will mail on Monday or Tuesday afternoon. Lots of non-chocolate candies, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, a few little cheap halloween novelty toys, and I threw in 5 magazines and a little stationary too (1 lined writing pad, 20 plain envelopes, 1 note pad, 2 girly stationary sets,  3 small sheets of stickers).

Gran,  I hit up the Dollar Tree too for the stationary. They get some cute stuff.

I bought the writing pad and the girly sets there (they had 15 pieces of paper and 10 matching  envelopes) and I have gotten nice decorated computer paper there before too. The greeting cards are 2 for $1 and they have lots of notecard packs too. Sometimes I raid the toys too for cheap entertainment things -like card decks and chess sets.  I even bought my mom a couple of puzzles there last week - some nice fall scenes in 500 pieces - she likes to do puzzles and crosswords in the winter.

I am just sending the one box for October. I will write some cards and letters latter too.  In November I will try to send some chocolate candy and more snacks if she is still on the list.

I too have just sent off a box to Nicolette

We sent Pringles, microwave hamburger helper, canned ravoli, slim jims, drink mixes and a box full of various candy - their sweet tooth will get some satisfaction for sure.  I am blessed to have a husband that LOVES to help pack the boxes - and being a truck driver - is very skilled.. so no space is wasted - might have a piece of bubble gum in it..but never wasted.

    Shelly,

We often fill little tiny thin spaces with shopping bags so that they have one to carry their bounty to their living quarters which may be a ways off.
