Thought I'd share an idea that I tried that turned out better than I ever expected.
I asked my dentist's office if I could purchase toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss and mouthwash from them at their cost. They consulted with their supplier who ended up donating 50+ of each (except the mouthwash as they didn't have that to offer).
Below is the letter the supplier asked me to submit requesting the assistance. You might give it a try too!!!
Dear Sir or Madam,
In an effort to help boost the morale of our deployed military personnel, a personal goal of mine is to send a care package to every Missouri-based contact on www.anysoldier.com. Their ‘wish lists’ overwhelmingly include hygiene articles that frequently sell out as soon as the BX/PX’s receive them. For that purpose, I am interested in purchasing the following at the best possible price you are able to offer:
50) Toothbrushes
50) Toothpaste
50) Dental floss
50) Mouthwash (not critically important, but would be a real treat for them)
Please feel free to contact me personally or Roberta with Dr. Perkins office has graciously offered to convey your offer to me.
Thank you so much for your consideration.
