Hello All,

I've agreed to host the Valentines Day Card Swap!

Please send me your name and address to my email: avenewsanna@yahoo.com    SUBJECT: Card Swap #6

Then start making your cards.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remember that the Holidays are upon us and this will wreak havoc with this deadline, but as busy as our lives are... our troops need to know we have time for them. 

IF you cannot MAKE cards, buy them and send the store bought... it is better than not making the deadline!

So here's the deal...

Please send to me -- 25 valentine cards, with envelopes.  Postcards are fine.

Cards are due to me on or before Tuesday, January 13.   Be sure to enclose a self-addressed STAMPED envelope.

I will swap them out and have them back in the mail on Saturday January 17.

You should have them in hand before January 24 which gives them three weeks to get to the Middle East!

Wow!!!  I "take the night off" to go to the Capitals vs. NJ Devils NHL hockey game tonight and come home to find a new thread started for Card Swap 6!!!  I've missed a ton of posts today!

Yep, I'm in Maryland, and would be happy to make a road trip up in January to help you swap the cards, or with whatever help you need.  I'm going to email you my cell number.  And, like Deni and Lisa said, I would be more than willing to help you with any questions you might have.

Anna -  I'm going to clarify the self addressed envelope should be a Flat Rate Envelope, and the stamp should be a $4.80 one.  

Anna - if you order the envelopes off of usps.com, they are free,  make sure they are Flat Rate, and then everyone can send you an address label to put on the envelope. 

Just a suggestion to make it easier on the swappers so they have more room in their envelope for their cards.  

It's your call.   

Further clarification....flat rate PRIORITY (for the $4.80)  rather than flat rate Express.....

WOW!  I knew this would be a learning experience!

Falling back on the expertise of the former Swap coordinators, I have visited shop.USPS.com!!!

Lots good stuff to be found there, and I have ordered 25 Priority envelopes for the swap.... 
Even got myself some extra labels and tape for my boxes! YEAH!

SO, to clarify for everyone in the swap...

Step 1.  Please send me you name and address (many have done this!)
Step 2.  Enclose with your cards a shipping label with your address AND the $4.80 postage for return shipping.
                          (Sorry the postage is a necessity!  Surely do wish I could foot the bill but...)

Step 3  THE CARD SWAP... thanks to all who have offered their assistance with swapping the cards -- if I need help I will holler... but here's my plan! 

          Having been adopted as part of the "Forget Me Not" Campaign (09) by a local VFW Ladies Auxiliary, I am inviting the ladies to come on Friday, January 16, for afternoon refreshments, some oohhs and aahhs over our cards, and some fast handed card shuffling!

Step 4   I will mail the completed card piles on Saturday, January 17.
