    2009 overlooked contacts

     SFC Hector Gutierrez only 3 requests since posting 2/4/09. Represents 110 males. Unit from Germany. Asking for very general items snacks, hygiene and recreational.

     MSG Dennis Relyea posted Jan 24, only 3 requests contact for 4 males asking for foot powder and baby wipes

    SSG Albert D Fleming posted Feb 7 only requested 3 times , contact for 4 males 1 female. Needs cleaning items and air fresheners for  a very smelly work environment

    PV2 Christopher Slattery only requested 7 times since posting 01/05/09. Represents 5 males & 2 females. Requesting reading material & hygiene products....small px.

    TSgt Frederick T. Jones only 6 requests who posted Feb 27, 100/20 in austere part of Iraq with no PX, living with Iraqis requesting hygiene items, rewriteable disc, dvds, snacks.

     Derek M Griffin,  14M/0F, added 11/21/08 15 requests - update today states "I have recieved no packages in a couple of months. i thought you guys had written me off. im glad to know your still out there." in response to reminder to update.

    SSG Vicente Ramos 50/10 - 17 req  He writes that they've only had a couple of packages in last couple of months.  They would especially like wipes and razors.

    CPT Johnnie R. Robbins 50/50 - 12 req. since Feb. 9.  Combat Support Hospital.  Looking for basic hygiene for patients and for snack foods for patients who eat same thing every meal.

    We have a MILI-FRB snack box and a MILI-FRB hygiene box for CPT Robbins we are getting ready to go to the PO on Thurs.

    John M. Case needs personal hygiene items for males. He has 4 males.

    Boy, was I shocked when I saw he has 48 requests!

    Just looking over this thread- Slattery and C Tate have both gone to inactive contacts.

    Fleming had 3 now has 7

    Relyea had 3, no change.:(

    F Jones had 6 now has 10 (supports 100/20)

    D Griffin had 15 now has 18

    M Grant had 8 now has 9 (supports 135!)

    J Robbins, had 12 now has 15 (Supports 50/50)

    V Ramos had 17 now has 20  (supports 50/10)

    H Gutierrez had 3 now has 5.

    Ouch - that stings to see that many lacking supporters!  How I wish we could continue with our 20 or so packages each month that we were able to do while Mr. Gran was working.  The only way that we could pick up CPT Robbins was that two of our contacts updated saying that they were not in need of anything at this time.  That is so selfless of them to do that when we know that they could always use something from home, but most of them realize the state of the economy here at home.  At least we have found a local couple for a source of sports magazines who are happy to donate to our packages.
