    Amtracer,

I've requested his address and can get batteries, toilet paper, pens and some snacks sent out Thursday and will get baby wipes plus other hygiene items out this weekend.  Won't be able to take care of all 400 with my boxes, but hopefully someone else can also pick him up.

Do you know if they have a microwave or the ability to heat water?  If not I'll ask him in a letter, but thought I'd see if you knew.

Grunts are always the last to get anything...

But you could ask his Wife as she is also listed on anymarine.com

    Really appreciatte your Help...
As always it is a lot of anysoldier.com members
working together as a team that always gets the job done...

I would add 72" Tan Boot laces to their list...

    Thanks again...

You can count me in too!  Sounds like they can use all the help they can get. I'll be sending a box of baby wipes & toiletries as well as a box of snacks.

This is one of my contacts.  I sent my first box 5/23/09 of baby wipes, batteries, deo, bodywash, blank cards etc. and I am working on another box for him.  Of course, I can't send for all 400 Marines at one time, but I am supporting him and his guys.

I will pick him up, too.  Creating their own gym reminds me of my nephew.  When he was in Balad in 2003 he jerked stuff off a broken tank and started a gym.  After he was killed, they named it the Coleman gym after him (Brent Coleman).

    Re: GySgt Steven J. Washecheck

I too have GySgt Washechek as a contact. I'd like to share the last paragraph of his recent letter to me:

'My Marines are very excited to know  people still care for what we are fighting for and are prepared to give their lives knowing this. The deployment is long but we have each other and have your thoughts and prayers."

400 Marines means he needs ALOT of support. Every box counts.
