2009 Card Swaps with added 2010 swaps.

     UPDATED FEBRUARY 24, 2010

Here's the list of 2009 swaps with the 2010 swaps added.   The 2010 dates are only a guideline.  Hostesses can make changes to the one they pick.  I added Thanksgiving #20 to the list.  (I have made changes as of August 22nd.)  The underlined ones still need Hostesses.      Check out the dates on the 2010 calendar to figure out your due date.

You ideally want to get the cards into your hands from all the swappers at least a month and a half before the "Holiday" that you want them to get sent back out to the troops by.  Set your due date knowing that there might be swappers that will send them late to you.

You may want to move your dates by a week or more to accommodate your life and style.

Always ask for return postage from all the swappers. The going rate right now for a regular flat rate stamp is $4.95.  This might change after Mother's Day 2010.   There are Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Boxes  and Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelopes on USPS.com that you can order in packs of 10 or 25 that are delivered to your mailbox.

Ask questions.  There is a full detailed list on how to do a swap somewhere in these threads that can be found and posted on here also.  If you want to host(ess) a swap, ask questions, there are those of us who will answer.   Ask all the previous Hostesses - did you have fun or what?!  I enjoyed my experience.

I'll host #18 (All occasion) swap next year. This is so crazy that we think this far ahead of time, however I'm already shopping for Christmas package stuff for the soldiers that I know will still be deployed at the end of the year.

     Deb  -

One suggestion I can supply - you can take the Spring Card Swap and rename it  Armed Forces Day and claim it as your own.

If anyone has a concern with this idea, speak now and add your thoughts................

Re: 2009 Card Swaps with added 2010 swaps.

Well I don't know about the other folks, however, our 2010 Spring Card Swap will now be known as Armed Forces Day Card Swap.   Hostessing has been given to you with my blessings.  Thank you for bringing this date up!

We can add the Spring - Easter swap back if someone wants to hostess it.  Easter will be April 4th in 2010 if that helps.

Sorry if I've stepped on toes.  I tend to like volunteers.

Wow.......this topic made me smile inside Big Smile and outside  Big Smile.....all this talk about swaps for next year

Well, it got me thinking.....I've been involved with all the swaps since the beginning  (as some of the other swappers have been) and I thought......I'd like to Host one.  The one I would like to do is the one for Easter/Springtime......#14A.    I do think that maybe we should push it up a bit....like Feb. 20....that way, if there are late cards....they can still be returned to the swappers and sent onto our troops in time for Easter.

Please add your input.......we do have a bit of time to toss this around.....and maybe the Valentines can have an early Jan date....so that there would be close to 6 weeks inbetween.

And Deni..........you're not stepping on toes.....thanks for coordinating this list........but lets wait until the new year to start signing up!!!!  Wink

    Love peace and blessings......Anne Marie

I am cracking up.  This is so funny!  And people thought that I was anxious when I posted the next three swaps!!!!!

It is good to be organized, a virtue that I don't have and probably never will.

I love all of you swappers and especially the brave hostesses.

     Hey Kerri -

Thanks for volunteering again so close to your ending date for swap #10.   That goes to show others how much fun a swap can be to hostess.

I don't know which one I should plug you in for 2010,  so what do you think -  Valentines, 4th of July, Halloween/Thanksgiving, or Christmas?

    Those are the 4 available.

Another thought - we can break apart the Halloween and Thanksgiving into 2 separate swaps.

Check out the first post in this thread.

Looks as if I got bumped from the Hostess list. I think I had asked to do the Spring one again, and if someone could let me know.

Oh well, no bother  I guess.

Deni, great job at organizing the list. Ty for those efforts.

    Good Luck Ladies! Have Fun!

    Cheers,

Re: 2009 Card Swaps with added 2010 swaps.

     Amy,

I am so sorry I overlooked your request.  That was not my intention.

Would you be interested in hostessing the Valentine's Day swap or one of the others?

There are always some possibilities of squeezing in another swap in the line up.

I am so delighted that hostesses from the past are still wanting to hostess future swaps.  That goes to show how much fun we had.  Happy to see some newbies sign up also.
