    Sandy,

Your tribute to Rick was absolutely beautiful.  I was just back at the Roseburg National Cemetery yesterday morning.  What memories, many tears...  I know he was not buried there, but I left prayers and flowers for Rick and all of his family...

Bob, I hope you know that we will never forget him and that I will honor your request to keep taking care of the brave heroes in the Valley...

    With much love,

    Kaylynn

The large box of tuna I sent to Gregory Missman on the 8th of July just arrived back at my house.  It was a sad thing that I presumed would happen but had hoped that the items would find their way to somebody over there.

My office is having a food bank drive so I'll donate it there with good thoughts to the soldiers in the Kornegal.

Keep up the good fight supporters.

Sometime over a year ago I made several supporters vcr copies of the nightline story on Korengal.  It was a great piece.  Unfortunately I had it copied on my Dish DVR.  They had to replace my dvr because it messed up and I couldn't retrieve the Nightline story.  Can anyone that I sent a copy let me borrow their copy so I can copy it?   I will pay for the postage you spend and I will return it right back.   I can't remember who I made them for, but it was probably about seven supporters.  I hope one of you see this message.

    Thanks, Teresa

Brandon Bettis posted. With pictures. Looks like 3 guys are sharing 1 mattress. Looks like one is using a small area to rest his head on, body on floor . The 2 others have pillows , one looks like it still has the plastic from the store ( Kohls I think). Sleep

tears in my eyes.  I sent a batch of pillows from Kohls to the valley.  Never knew if they arrived...I am sure hoping those are the ones.  If not, some other supporter had the same idea.  I sent pillow cases I made in another box.  I am just hoping the pictures were taken before that box arrived.

Kohls made an error and the second batch were sent to me instead of Afghanistan. I think I will print this and send it to them and show them what their error cost those guys...since I was supposed to send back at my expense to reship.

Goodness, it makes me want to get the next batch with the pillow cases out tomorrow.

Teresa, i have the vid you sent me! I'll ship it to ya and you can just send it back :) PM me if your address is the same.

Also..... Korengal fellas are all askin for hoodies! I found a wicked good deal so i thought i'd share both the request and the link! They aren't very heavy weight so there may be better to send but holy 8 bucks with APO shipping!

A picture really can say a thousand words.  If it weren't for this site, I woudn't even be aware of the Korengal valley.  I was wondering how the customs form is handled if you order online to be shipped to an APO?

Bout the hoodies...Did they ask for a color?  size?  which firebase? or the KOP? Hopefully I have some extra funds this month.  #?

When shipped directly to an APO the retailer handles all the customs forms.

Checked them a little more...gray has M,XL L is backordered but available to order.  The spruce (army green) has M or XL in stock-no L available.  The european spruce has M or XL in stock-no L available.  Shipping is standard $6.95 (I put 6 in the cart WITH the KOP APO just to test).  Also APO address no tax, I believe.

you found a GREAT deal with direct shipping.  Walmart's are normally $10 but they wanted $46 to ship 1 direct!!

    Re: Korengal Valley 2009-2010

haha sorry, i may have gotten the Lg grays. The original request came from Restrepo. And when i asked a guy on Vegas to confirm it's a good send he said something like "heck ya, we all have been talking about wanting one". Soooo, my guess is any contact out there would like one. Vegas soldier said Lg is good but also that there are a lot of Medium guys. That site is awesome isn't it!!! There's a Hot Deals page that is amazing. Ohhhh, and he said it did not matter if it zipped or was a pull over. On colors, anything black, grey, green, tan, camo, even navy out here is usually good, just no bright colors. On more populated bases with ranking officials, they would be obligated to colors, not so much out in the Valley.

Got a contact at Restrepo, but haven't heard from him in a couple weeks.  Vegas is easy with FB.  I will see if I can squeeze some cash from the budget.  Backorder is OK.  As long as they get ther before too long.

Has anyone heard about the news about an outpost taking a hit  in Afghan?   I do worry about our troops over there.

    Thanks
