    Surprise Request (for adults only)

I just had a surprise request from a contact that has left me baffled.

Now we are all adults and I appoligize if I offend anyone on this issue.

I had a request for (condoms).  I have never seen this item mentioned at all as to what is permitted or not.  Or could I get

severely reprimanded and/or punished if I did add this to a package.

No reason you can't send. Believe it or not, some of our troops use condoms to protect their weapons from the elements - particularly sand. Kind of like they've been known to use tampons to stop bleeding from shrapnel and gunshot wounds out in the field. Strange, but true.

Thank You, PatrioticLady, for your input on that subject.  That does sound practical about protection from the sand and to stop

bleeding.  Now I don't feel bad about asking about this.  Goes to show you are never too old to learn something new.  I am 65 yrs

old and I just learned something new today.  Thank you, again, PL.

I just learned something new as well....  My husband works in sporting goods and told me that they sell "condoms" for guns.  He showed me some.   They are called muzzleloading rain gear for protection against the elements.  They are marketed by the company Tradition...Part # A1330....they are available in ten packs.

I supported a soldier and his wife in 2006 who lived together while deployed to either Iraq or Afghanistan (can't remember - zip was 09327).  Shared living quarters is not always an option, but is sometimes permitted in the Army.  Condoms might be required for those situations.

In any event, it's not a banned item....the purpose doesn't really need to be known to the sender.  Don't ask, don't tell. :)
