  • Re: Christmas Requests 2008

RE: MSG Debra Bradshaw.     I have been supporting her soldiers since she first posted on AS.   So neat to see her name mentioned in this thread.   Not sure about her entire unit, but I know that her tour was extended by 12 months and that she hopes to come home in May '09.    Just ...

  • Re: Soldier's postings question

I am glad that you mentioned the server thing!  That could be the reason that my contact's latest post has not showed up.   I will suggest to him that he just go ahead and do another one.   Time is a bit critical for his posts since he is in the 50 day warning zone right now.   Yikes!    I know ...

  • Soldier's postings question

When a soldier posts on this site, is it normal to have a delay of a few days before the post is listed?   I am asking because one of my soldiers just returned from leave and had made a post that has not shown up yet.  We are in email contact and he said that he made a post last Friday evening.

  • Re: How to send popsicles

I have never heard of a Foodsaver but I am going to check it out now!   I am not as concerned about whether the pops will make it unscathed as I am about collateral damage that my box full of dripping popsicles could do to other packages.   If my first box does not survive, I will regroup and send another one.   ...

  • How to send popsicles

I know that I have read on this site that the popsicles that are sold in liquid form to be frozen later are popular with the soldiers.   I picked up a couple packages of these popsicles recently, 100 pops each, but I am having trouble getting them packaged in a way that makes me confident that they will reach their desination without ...

  • Re: What a Shame!!!

I am amazed.   It took me forever to cross paths with this site so that I could do something good for some soldiers.  I am nauseated to think that this site is also a convenient way for those who harbor ill will to have a cowardly way to vent to those who are in harm's way.    It does sound like Marty has this ...

I am not sure what a Terp is, but I have a great visual of this incident.  Funny story!

  • Re: Hello from Massachusetts!

Hey Jami! I am a MIE, Mainer in Exile...living in Indiana for the past 11 years.   It's not Maine, but this area has been good to me.   I return to Maine a couple times a year to visit family, occasionally I make the long drive from In to Me.   One of my favorite signs to see on I-495 is the Newburyport exit because ...
