Here’s my two cents on the subject. This is not meant to be mean-spirited, but will probably ruffle some feathers, regardless. Like Gran stated, there are already groups in place in the forum who coordinate efforts to send to the soldiers in Afghanistan (and other places/projects), and they seem to be successful.

I use the individually-wrapped Rice Krispie Treats for padding and filling in the empty spaces in boxes. The guys tell me they arrive still sealed and ready to eat.

I don't think anyone was micro-managing or "telling" anyone HOW to send to troops. I believe the ones who posted here were only saying how THEY did it - and supporting one another that it's okay to do it however works best for them. There's no ONE way to support troops. I enjoy reading how others support the troops. ...
