Nancy,
Sorry to hear about the passing of your father. Like you, I too am a daughter of a wwii vet and in memory of my dad, I send packages to Seabees since he proudly served as a bee. I am not from TX but just got back from Fredericksburg/Austin. It seems that BBQ sauce is real big. Any and all country music would probably be appreciated as well. You could always buy the BIG BAG of lifesavers and say they are from TX ( big, get it???) Check out the ADM Nimitz Museum in Fredericksburg.

I saw those trees as well and thought that they would be perfect to send!

I have gotten a few emails for RP Alan Grow who was thrilled to receive so many unexpected birthday cards. The cake, frosting, balloons and party favors that I sent were enjoyed by all- he even sent a pic of he and his buddies wearing the pointy little birthday hats! Made my day!

Be sure to include batteries you will be sending portable stuff. And you can get some pretty good deals on used cd's and dvd's- ask your friends to ...

Our SGT Creel still holds the lead of being requested 399 times but a Marine is closing in with about 50 fewer requests. So I guess we have to spread the word and get more folks to request and send Kevin some more pc's before he leaves!
