  • Re: Kevin Creel

Sgt.Kevin Creel had a simple request: Send me post cards from the north, south, east and west. Any Soldier junkies were up to the job, to send good wishes to Creel and his army mob. From Idaho, Kentucky, Kansas and Texas, too. New York, Florida and California sent quite a few. Post card senders from across the Earth: Scotland, Canada, and ...

  • Re: 61 newbies in December! Well, come on out and say hi!

Nancy, Sorry to hear about the passing of your father. Like you, I too am a daughter of a wwii vet and in memory of my dad, I send packages to Seabees since he proudly served as a bee. Carepackages and letters are ALWAYS needed and I followed the suggested advice and held off during the Christmas season in sending stuff but am gearing up for the ...

  • Re: Uncertainty of package delivery

Could it be that the others did arrive and that the one first thank you was meant to cover all that were received?

  • Re: Question for you

I am not from TX but just got back from Fredericksburg/Austin. It seems that BBQ sauce is real big. Any and all country music would probably be appreciated as well. You could always buy the BIG BAG of lifesavers and say they are from TX ( big, get it???) Check out the ADM Nimitz Museum in Fredericksburg.

  • Re: 18" Tinsel Cmas trees on Clearance...

The XMas stuff at Target was a great deal at 75% off...I have no room for XMas stuff for next year  BUT I managed to score big with Hershey kisses,,, so I will remove the green ones and send the red/silver for Valetine's Day and the green ones for St Pat's day. I saw those trees as well and thought that they would be perfect to send!

  • Seabee birthday thanks to all AS junkies.

I have gotten a few emails for RP Alan Grow who was thrilled to receive so many unexpected birthday cards. The cake, frosting, balloons and party favors that I sent were enjoyed by all- he even sent a pic of he and his buddies wearing the pointy little birthday hats! Made my day!

  • Re: CD and DVD players: what kind? (eg portable?)

My guess that if the items are for the MWR center then a larger, more sturdy piece of equipment would be best. I have sent portable cd players to a hospital unit for use by individual while in bed. Be sure to include batteries you will be sending portable stuff. And you can get some pretty good deals on used cd's and dvd's- ask your friends to ...

  • Re: Kevin's Christmas Photos

Our SGT Creel still holds the lead of being requested 399 times but a Marine is closing in with about 50 fewer requests. So I guess we have to spread the word and get more folks to request and send Kevin some more pc's before he leaves! diane in boston
