Bob wrote a post on that thread. Looked like his writing style to me. I didn't get an e-mail, but I'm not signed up for e-mail updates on threads. I don't believe it's a spam; I believe Bob (RicksDad) wrote it.

I send Christmas packages containing a Christmas tree, ornaments, lights, stockings filled with candy for each member of the group, a Santa hat, small handheld games with batteries included; nothing big or expensive. But yeah, I guess you could count that as Christmas gifts.

Has anyone been successful at getting a bank draft set up for regular monthly donations to AnySoldier? I have clicked the link to e-mail Chrissy to set it up, and submitted my phone number but still haven't heard anything back.

Heavens to Murgatroyd!! That box certainly took the long way to get there, didn't it?? I like to joke about snail mail - there are two different snails that deliver; Zippy the Super Snail, who gets things there in record time, and his cousin, Cletus the Slack-Jawed Snail, who move so slowly that his slime trail dries up and acts like super ...

Try Brian Zavaglia. He would like letters from school children for his troops.

Awesome, Anna! I did get to watch one of my Soldiers open a care package once - he went on Yahoo! Messenger and turned on his web cam. He didn't do the "happy dance," but he was grinning from ear to ear and looked like a kid at Christmas who found a puppy AND a pony under the Christmas tree...That was awesome.
