At Target, all the new Christmas and specialty items are in, Hickory Farms items, blocks of 3 different cheese, good size, summer sausage, mustards to go with them. Best part about the cheese, doesnt need to be refrigerated until opened, like the summer sausage.

Not sure if this belongs here but it can be moved. A sailor has posted here today and he is aboard the USS Nimitz, he stated that their deployment has been extended for 2 months, I also belong to Navy for Moms and for obvious reasons this was posted a few months ago. I am guessing this is referring to "loose candy" and not to goodie bags? Loose candy being unwrapped like candy corn? Every type of candy that I have sent has been factory wrapped. Dont want to cause any issue with the troops. 

Some of the spelling is really funny....I have read a lot of posts that say "snake food" thought it was some kind of nickname for a type of food? OMG- how dumb am I?

My daughter is Navy, and they are all required to wear plain white T's under every uniform, most all wear the hanes, lay flat collar tshirts. They wash really well, always look good.

Just a thought, my daughter is stationed in Washington State, I also send her care packages. Everytime I send her a package, her entire shop acts like a bunch of kids, and if I put cookies or candy on the form, they all make her open it in front of them so they can have some. There are a lot of stateside military that are on bases that also ...

I just received the best email ever. Jesse Chapman wrote me a long email, get this, apologizing for not hand writing a thank you, well anyway, he told me a lot about himself  and how long he has been in the Army. Brought tears to my eyes, this soldier, so busy, took his time and wrote to thank me.  God Bless our troops!
